Role

Responsible as the registered manager of our Perth and Blairgowrie Day Centres, the role of the Registered Manager will be to ensure that the social, physical, emotional and psychological care needs of service users are met, and that the defined standards of care are promoted and maintained. The Registered Manager will also be responsible for all human, physical and financial resources within both Day Centres. The Day Centres are a source of respite for carers and part of the role will be to promote and raise awareness of the centres through networking and attending appropriate partnership meetings and events. Duties and Responsibilities will include:

· To provide professional team leadership, developing and monitoring the aims of the Carers Centre whilst ensuring that plans, policies and objectives which are particular to the Day Centres are implemented.

To promote and follow quality standards of care within the area of service provision for which the Registered Manager has responsibility. To carry out quality checks including sampling and measurement of outcomes.

To ensure the individual social care needs of service users - physical, psychological, social and emotional - are met by the effective use of available resources. To enable the care planning, monitoring and reviewing of the needs of service users to emphasise areas of growth and development, and to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach is taken to care planning as required.

To ensure that the individuality, confidentiality, privacy, choices, rights and personal dignity of service users are respected at all times.

Maintain effective control of the establishment’s budget by monitoring and controlling, maintaining and contributing (via external funding applications or fundraising activity) to the flow of financial resources.

To develop yourself, your staff team and volunteers by ensuring; that an action plan alongside staff supervision and appraisals are in place to enable individuals to access support, training and development opportunities.

To identify and minimise interpersonal conflicts, stress and disciplinary problems. To be responsible for disciplinary and grievance issues alongside the Carers Service Manager in accordance with PKAVS organisational procedures and policies.

To ensure that accurate written records are kept according to the requirements of GDPR, PKAVS policy, the SSSC and Care inspectorate.

To provide support for carers and to involve carers in the care planning process where appropriate, including substantial contributions to the service user’s care.

To identify personal and staff training needs and contribute to in house staff training.

To identify personnel requirements and to assist in the recruitment, fair selection and appointment of staff in accordance with PKAVS policies and fair selection procedures.

To contribute to the development of service provision within the Centre.
