  • Edinburgh
  • Closing 22nd July 2019

  • Advertised from 11th July 2019

With Kids is a small but dynamic charity supporting vulnerable children and families. We have a base in Glasgow and Edinburgh and also work in a number of other local authority areas. We provide an early intervention service for children, aged 3 to 12, who have experienced significant trauma in their lives. We also offer social and practical support to their families.

We have been working in the Wester Hailes area of Edinburgh for the last 8 years supporting families and offering a wide variety of community development support. We have been successful in securing funding, through the Aspiring Communities Fund with support from the European Social Fund, to allow us to develop a Children’s Zone project across the whole of Wester Hailes and surrounding area. As a result we have a vacancy for a play therapist to join our staff and help deliver this project.

While a Play Therapy qualification is preferred consideration will be given to applicants with training in other therapeutic disciplines. Considerable experience of working with young children (between the ages of 3 and 8) is essential for this post.

The hours of work are 35 hours per week. The successful applicant will be based in Edinburgh but from time to time she/he may work in other locations.

The person appointed must be a member of the Protection of Vulnerable groups (PVG) scheme.
