Southside Housing Association Ltd is a charitable community controlled housing organisation. We own and manage approximately 2,200 houses and through our own factoring company, SFARS, provide a factoring service to a further 800 houses.
Welfare Rights and Money Advice Team
The Advice Team provides a welfare rights and money advice service to tenants and other residents living in the Southside areas of operation. The work with the wider community is funded by the Big Lottery and has provided an opportunity to develop the involvement of volunteers in delivering this key service.
We are seeking a dynamic with skills and experience to help develop a range of volunteer roles as part of Southside Housing Association’s role in local communities.
As Volunteer Coordinator you will manage all elements of volunteering within the Welfare Rights and Money Advice Team as well as provide support and guidance to other colleagues engaged with volunteers.
The role involves assessing and meeting the service needs through the recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers.
As Volunteer Coordinator you will support and develop volunteers and their relationships with employees and service users of the service. You will also monitor, evaluate and accredit volunteers.
This post is funded by the Big Lottery and is for a fixed term to 7.12.19. The post is offered on a part time (21 hours per week) for a fixed term to 7.12.19
