Humanist Society Scotland is looking for someone with a proven talent for engaging and effective communications. The successful candidate will lead the wide-reaching communications of Scotland’s national charity for people seeking an ethical, rational and secular future.
This is an exciting role that focuses on the Society’s aim to grow awareness of Humanism in Scotland to new audiences, as well as focussing on our key campaigns.

We are looking for a strategic thinker who can utilise digital technology to connect with supporters to get our message across in the media and to Government. You will be passionate about progressive change and share our vision for an ethical, rational, secular Scotland.
The successful candidate will have experience of working on recent influencing campaigns. They will have excellent writing skills and an understanding of the role media relations plays in raising awareness of a cause. They will have an aptitude for data led campaigning and understand how to utilise a CRM system such as CiviCRM (as used by Humanist Society Scotland). A strong understanding of social media, bulk emailing and web platforms would be an advantage.
They will be an excellent communicator who is competent across a range of disciplines, including public awareness campaigning, political lobbying and media. They will thrive in the creative environment of tight budgets and tight deadlines and enjoy the challenge of crafting messages that reach the widest possible audience.
