This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager to lead a large, creative and vibrant team. Our Service delivers a number of diverse supports alongside children and families. Our activities include Whole Family Support alongside our Social Work Colleagues creating alternative plans to support children growing up where they are safe and loved, and Perinatal Mental Health Support for new parents across Moray. Our activity includes both early help and more intensive supports, all based on quality relationships with children and families.
We are looking for a resilient Service Manager who can be a strong leader across the service and organisation. Someone who thinks operationally but understands the big picture too. We need a leader who is in touch with the needs of children, young people and their families who require support and passionate about their rights. We seek a dynamic manager who can build on the service strengths and create the agile and flexible service children and families need.

The Butterfly Trust is the lead agency providing social support for people affected by Cystic Fibrosis throughout Scotland. We provide a comprehensive and diverse range of outreach services for all ages of people with Cystic Fibrosis and their families across Scotland.

The Children & Families Manager will be responsible for the delivery of services for children affected by Cystic Fibrosis and their carers. This will include providing support and supervision to our team of volunteer befrienders.

Barnardo's Children's Right's and Advocacy Service has been established in Fife for more than 22 years. The provision supports children and young people aged 5-18 years of age who are Care Experienced at Home or Away from Home, in Kinship Care, in Foster Care or in Residential Care. They can also support young people who are in Continuing Care, up to the age of 21 through the provision of rights representation, advocacy, and rights advice & information.
Advocacy support is also provided to young people at Child Protection Planning meetings.
An opportunity has arisen within this service for you to join an established and committed team to provide Right's representation for the children and young people of Fife as described above. You will have an opportunity to become part of and develop the service to ensure that Children's Rights are at the centre of decision making in Fife.
An experience of Right's and/or Advocacy work would be extremely desirable as would have an ability to engage with children, young people, and partner agencies. An understanding or knowledge of legislation surrounding UNCRC, The Promise and The Children's Hearing System would be helpful.

ABOUT CAERN
Barnardo's Caern Disability Services consists of three unique Projects who deliver a variety of quality services for young people with learning disabilities and/or autism. We have done this for over forty years.
Our Caern Short Breaks service supports up to 5 children and young people at any one time aged 5-18 by offering short break respite packages to them and their families. All staff play an active role in supporting the children, young people and their families/carers to achieve positive outcomes, as identified in the Young People's Individual Support Plans.
ABOUT YOU
Ideally you will have experience in working directly with children and young people in a similar setting. Experience in supporting children and young people with a learning disability and/or Autism would be an advantage. Communication with the young people is paramount - the key is time tabling; structure; reliability and consistency. You will be faced with behaviours that challenge, including physical.
The staff team across Caern Services must be fully accepting of our children and be prepared to offer them a professional relationship based on acceptance and informed by our understanding of their individual needs, wishes and experiences. We are passionate about the children and young people that we care for, showing understanding, empathy and consistency in our approach.
You will hold (or be willing to work towards) a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above (for example SVQ3 children and young people) plus an HNC in social services. These qualifications are required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as part of your employment. There may be external grants available to partly fund this.

JOB SPECIFICATION
PURPOSE
To provide administrative support to the Business Support & Finance Manager on a day-to-day basis and to support the overall work of the organisation.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
National Practitioner Forums and Consortia - in conjunction with lead facilitator, manage the arrangements for the full range of forums and consortia meetings, including setting dates, sending out agendas, formatting and sending out final notes, collating meeting papers, and keeping distribution lists up-to-date.
Support training and development events (Commissioned Training, Conferences and workshops) – in conjunction with Trainer/Consultants, provide administrative support for management of events including: finalising training materials for training booklets, creating and sending out booking forms; logging bookings and maintaining database; preparing attendance certificates for participants at all external events; create , collate and analyse evaluation form returns.
Information Technology – Support staff in their use of IT apps and platforms when they are producing materials or delivering training.
General Administration – Undertake a range of administrative tasks to support the work of the organisation including:
Scotland’s Adoption Register - provide administrative support to Register staff including support for the running of family finding events when required.
