Options Fife Respite and Outreach provides a range of flexible support through outreach and overnight short breaks at weekends, evenings and school holidays to children and young people with complex learning disabilities and autism. We offer a high-quality child centred service providing positive and enabling experiences for the young people, supporting them through the challenges and complexities that enable them to work towards their individual outcomes and personal goals. We work closely with families and other professionals in providing support tailored around the child’s plan.
What we are looking for....
We are looking to recruit two Young People’s Worker Nights, working four nights on (10 hours per night) every second week. You will play a fundamental role in ensuring that the young people you work with have the best possible experience in working towards their objectives in line with their care plan, supporting children to progress within their individual outcomes. Whilst not without its challenges and demands, this is a highly rewarding role, where the work we do has a demonstrable impact on each young person's progress. Using a person-centred approach, you will provide enabling support ensuring the highest level of physical, personal, and emotional care. We support young people who have epilepsy, need personal care and need gastrostomy feeding. Aberlour, in conjunction with NHS, provides all staff with training.
We are looking for candidates who have a passion for working with young people with disabilities. It is desired but not essential that candidates hold a relevant qualification at an SCQF level 7 or above. Due to SSSC requirements you may be required to gain qualifications after starting with Aberlour.

The post holder will be employed by Dundee Volunteer Voluntary Action and co-located to work as a member of the Protecting People Strategic Support Team (based within Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership).
Ideally you’ll have experience of supporting the engagement of people with lived experience as well as networking with a variety of partners and stakeholders. The Community Links Worker programme, funded by EVOC & Edinburgh Health & Social Care Partnership, is delivered in partnership with GP Practices and the 3rd sector to support people to live well through strengthening connections between community resources and primary care.
The Community Link Worker will be employed by Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust and will work as part of three practice teams (Gracemount, Liberton and Inch Park) in the South East locality of Edinburgh to provide 1:1 person-centred and practical support to people in contact with the GP practice team.

About you

The role
You will be leading a team to support *deaf people living in the community. As well as leading a team you will be lone working in the community, delivering a person-centred service supporting deaf people within their own living environment, to enable them to fully participate in the decisions affecting their lives, ensuring that wherever possible, service users benefit from informed choice, control, and independence. This will include both activities at home and within the community which will promote independence and social inclusion.

Due to the nature of this role, its essential that you can drive and have access to a car.

The Service
Our Older Persons' Service addresses loneliness and social isolation among older people through volunteer befriending, social cafes, and our Help to Stay at Home service.
The Job
The Older Persons Service promotes social inclusion opportunities for isolated and lonely vulnerable older people by providing 1:1 support in people’s own homes. The regular contact that this service will bring will make a real difference to an older person’s life. Older people will ideally benefit emotionally through shared interests and experiences with their matched staff member and also through practical assistance, such as help with transport to Health Services including GP, dentist and hospital appointments, collection of prescription, support to attend appointments, shopping trips and social outings.
The purpose of the job is to work closely with the project workers and volunteers to support the people who receive our services to become engaged and included within their communities.
About You
You will have good computer skills and the ability to use technology efficiently to maintain and update records, combined with a knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting older people. The successful candidate will be able to work openly and honestly in a team setting and have an ability to prioritise their own caseload.
A valid driver's license and access to a car that can be used daily to travel between services as required is essential for this role.

Glasgow South Carers Centre provides services to unpaid family Carers, who look after a family member or friend who cannot manage alone due to illness or disability, including Young Carers and their families.
Applicants must have an understanding of and commitment to the needs of carers, have excellent written and oral communication skills, have experience of support planning, providing an information and advice service, planning and delivery of services to support carers, have strong admin, communication and organisational skills and have a knowledge and understanding of the policy drivers for unpaid carers, especially in relation to the Carers Act.
Although experience is desirable, a willingness and commitment to learning is key, underpinned by strong admin, communication, and organisational skills.
Working alongside a team of Carers Support Workers and directly with Carers, the Family Support Worker should have a relevant qualification in health or social care and/or work experience appropriate for this post.
