The Role
As the Team Manager, you will work across the 6 localities of North Lanarkshire. We have an office base in Coatbridge and deliver interventions across the locality. You will work closely with the Service Manager and supervise the staff team in order to maintain a high standard for the people that access our service. You will ensure that any concerns relating to safeguarding and risk are appropriately managed as well as ensuring that adequate data is collected and reported on. You will represent the service across North Lanarkshire and will build on the excellent working relationships we have with many partners.

Rock Trust are delighted to be expanding the successful ‘Housing First for Youth’ service into Glasgow. We are looking for a team member who has experience of supporting young vulnerable people accessing our services. The role will involve working intensively with a small caseload of young people to coordinate and provide emotional and practical support.
The Project Worker will work directly with young people to coordinate and provide emotional and practical support on a 1:1 and group basis. Working with young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to ensure that when homelessness can’t be avoided, their experience of homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring.
The Project Worker will offer line management, guidance, and support to Support Assistants and volunteers, working together to support young people to return or remain at home, improve their practical independent living skills, set up their own tenancy and access other services and to reach their full potential. Project Workers are responsible for completing support plans and risk assessments and are the main contact for any key people involved in the care and support of young people.

Ayr Housing Aid Centre (now SCIO) was established in 1986 following a Shelter homeless conference. The project is governed by the Board consisting of dedicated, committed people passionate about helping those in housing need. The Board provide direction, expertise and oversee the Centre’s work. As Trustees step down we recruit new Trustees with a commitment to our aims and objectives of providing quality advice and engagement services to those in housing need while alleviating poverty. Our commitment includes positively campaigning for local and national change and new legislative measures to improve the lives of those we help. There is no greater housing need than having no home!
The Centre has been contracted with South Ayrshire Council for many years to provide Advice and Homeless Prevention Services. Our current Contract cycle is 2021-25 and includes a Prison Housing Advice service for East and South Ayrshire Council. The Centre often seeks additional funding to complement our core Council services to meet additional demand and reach out to more people in need. We also generate income to support our work through providing housing related training and fundraising. The Centre’s Advice services are accredited under the Scottish National Standards and Housing Support service is regulated by the Care Inspectorate.
AHAC are looking to appoint a new Treasurer to join our volunteer Board. The Treasurer is responsible for overseeing financial processes and obligations including ensuring the organisation remains compliant with meeting its legal and constitutional requirements through robust financial policies, procedures and processes. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Project Worker to join our Youth Homelessness Support Service, funded by Perth and Kinross Council the service aims to support young people to transistion from homelessness into settled accommodation, as well as supporting those in tenancies who may be at risk of eviction and young people who want to return home and maintain relationships with their families. The Project Worker will work with young people aged 16-25 years.
The Project Worker will be a leading member of the team, establishing positive relationships with partner agencies across Perth, working to ensure that youth homelessness rates reduce, and that a young person’s experience of homelessness is rare, brief and non-recurring.
This post is ideal for a self-starter, who has previous experience of working in a supportive role in a paid or voluntary capacity and is looking for a new challenge.
For applicants that don’t currently meet the requirements for registration as a support worker in a Housing Support service with the SSSC, this post can be offered as a technical apprenticeship giving the successful candidate a pathway to achieving the SVQ level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care.
What is the VF?
The VF is a charity passionate about supporting the vulnerable veterans and it has paid out in grants over £20M since inception in 2016. It operates as an independent grant-making foundation offering targeted support to a broad range of charities and charitable organisations that support those in need among serving armed forces’ personnel, veterans, operationally qualified seafarers, and their immediate families.
Funded projects include those that tackle homelessness, increase employment, overcome poverty, and provide welfare and medical support. It also supports initiatives that increase confidence and social integration, as well as reducing dependence on alcohol and drugs.
The VF gives priority to well-run small and medium-sized charities and organisations in need of funds that help the target beneficiaries.
To date the majority of funds raised by the VF have come from the highly successful Veterans' Lottery (VL). However, individual donations are growing significantly and show potential for further development. We now need a member of staff to support the VF’s Fundraising Manager in building a broader fundraising base.

Bridges Project is a leading youth work charity that helps young people aged 12-25 in East Lothian and Midlothian overcome challenges and adapt to adulthood.
