In anticipation of the move from the current hospital site at Sciennes to a new purpose built facility at Little France, we are looking to recruit an exciting new post for our Children’s Wellbeing Services.
As Children’s Wellbeing Officer, you will identify and support the non-clinical needs of a wide range of children and young people in the hospital, and provide a range of focussed activities, in an age appropriate, engaging facility. You will work with teams in the hospital to develop complementary programmes which support children and young people to engage with treatment and feel less anxious or stressed. You will be experienced in supporting young people to feel empowered and able to support children and young people in the hospital, through a meaningful programme of engagement and activities. You will have an excellent knowledge of other agencies and organisations to signpost children, young people and their families to places of support and advice. The activities of The Hub will also link with the ECHC Arts Programme and hospital’s needs.
You will be educated to HND level in a relevant area and will have experience of working with children, young people and families; of delivering project outputs and achieving outcomes; and of engaging young people through positive relationships.
Highland Hospice is one of the largest independent charities in the Highlands. We need to raise around £3m every year from our fundraising activities including applications to charitable trusts and other grant giving bodies to support day-to-day activity and specific projects. We are looking for someone with experience of completing funding applications; of building and maintaining relationships with funders; and of working as part of a team developing and securing funding for projects.
The is a part-time post equivalent to two days per week however the need to make Trust applications fluctuates and so we would like you to be flexible, working in the Hospice or at home as required to support projects and meet deadlines. Pay will be regular but hours will be annualised and monitored on a monthly basis.
It is essential that you have direct experience of making funding applications to charitable trusts or equivalent bodies as well as budget and project management skills and a high degree of motivation and ability to work under your own initiative. Food insecurity occurs where people no longer have reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable nutritious food. These posts will be attached to various providers of food across Fife, helping improve the financial circumstances of those using the emergency food services and providing a sustainable path out of food insecurity.
The successful applicant will deliver a financial inclusion service to clients accessing a variety of emergency food providers across Fife, providing personalised income maximisation advice and support. This service will include assessing welfare benefit entitlement, budgeting assistance, and information on banking services and affordable credit. The service will also actively refer both internally and externally where further issues are identified e.g. debt issues.
The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate a commitment to CARF’s vision and values.

Job Purpose
• This project runs until June 2022 and has a focus on increasing Shetland Rape Crisis’ support capacity, the accessibility of the service, and its reach, for survivors of sexual violence in Shetland, and particularly for survivors from marginalised groups.
• The worker, in co-operation with the Service Manager and Staff Team at SRC, will develop and implement an Inclusion and Access Strategic Plan for the service.
• As part of improving access to support and capacity for delivery, a number of service development projects have been identified and these would be led by the new worker, alongside any other actions identified by the worker herself as part of the Inclusion and Access Strategic Plan. These are outlined in the recruitment pack.

Renfrewshire Learning Disability Services – Mile End and Weavers Mill
Turning Point Scotland’s Renfrewshire Learning Disability Services deliver a Care at Home and Housing Support service for a large number of people who have learning and physical disabilities living across the Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire areas. The accommodation includes 2 core and cluster services. Individuals who are supported by the service live either on their own or share with others. Individual’s homes are located throughout Renfrewshire. Most people receive 24 hour support.
The staff who work in Renfrewshire Learning Disability services are committed to ensuring that individuals are always included in the development, implementation and review of their personal life plans. The ethos of the service is to assist people to meet their personal, social, educational and domestic aspirations in accordance with Keys to Life. Our staff work in a person centred, outcome focussed manner, working in partnership with Renfrewshire Council Social Work Department and community healthcare teams will ensure peoples’ support needs are fully met.
We are registered with the Care Commission and work in partnership with a number of external agencies i.e. Social Work Department, Community Learning Disability Teams, and Housing Associations etc.
The individuals we support are provided with the opportunity to become involved in their local and surrounding community. Our management structure, together with the administration team enables us to monitor closely the service we provide. All our staff, regardless of their position, receive extensive training which enables them to carry out their job to a high standard.

This is an exciting new role within SAMH to lead investment in innovative new mental health services and supports within Scotland’s communities.
SAMH is participating in a national partnership with MIND, Inspire and The Co-op. The partnership’s aim is to bring communities together to improve mental wellbeing and support the resilience of those communities across the UK. Resilience is not simply the ability to ‘bounce back’, but the capacity to adapt in the face of challenging circumstances and find a new balance, whilst maintaining wellbeing.
This role supports the Programme Manager to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the resilience services, funded by the Co-op partnership. Maintain and establish information reporting systems relating to service delivery and provide accurate reporting to funders demonstrating a high level of competence. The role will also ensuring outcomes and objectives set by funders and management partners are delivered and will be responsible for ensuring all administrative and reporting including implementation and co-ordination of service systems and processes.
This is a significant national partnership for SAMH and the Programme Manager will support the lead SAMH contacts with MIND for the funded services and projects.

Reachout With Arts In Mind, established in 1993, is an award winning expressive arts charity that provides creative opportunities to improve confidence, self-esteem, motivation and aspirations for adults experiencing life's challenges including mild mental ill health and mild learning and physical disability from across Forth Valley.
The Visual Arts Project Worker is a key artistic role based in Reachout’s large well-equipped studio. Central to the role is facilitating creative workshops to vulnerable young people and adults; encouraging their creativity and self-help to maintain and develop their wellbeing. This will involve hands-on delivery, planning, coordinating, and facilitating creative workshops within Reachout studio, online through platforms such as Zoom and outreach projects across Forth Valley. This post requires excellent organisational skills in particular project management and administrative duties including monitoring and evaluating output from creative activities, costing and managing workshop budgets.
