The Cost of Living Support Worker is responsible for supporting volunteer advisers deal with the increase in casework / demand due to Cost of Living drivers.
The post holder will increase volunteer advisors capacity to deal with cost of living driven enquiries & support the main Bureau volunteer led generalist service to deal with the increased volume of enquiries.
The post holder will act as support and mentor to both office-based and remotely enabled advice volunteers ensuring they have the necessary support to deal with enquires effectively and efficiently.

DVVA and the Dundee Alliance are seeking an enthusiastic person to work alongside the volunteer manager on the delivery of the Dundee Alliance Volunteer Strategy, collaborating closely with a wide array of partners and stakeholders to evaluate, refine and enact the Strategy.
The post holder will be employed by DVVA and work on behalf of the Dundee Alliance. The Dundee Alliance is a collaborative, cross-sector partnership deeply committed to fostering creativity, innovation and collaborative practices while actively pursuing the realisation of The Promise and Whole Family Support Principles.
Ideally you’ll have experience of engaging with and supporting volunteers as well as networking with a variety of partners and stakeholders. You’ll be able to design, deliver and evaluate information sessions and workshops, working with individuals to empower them. Ideally, you’ll have a relevant qualification in an area such as Social Services or Community Learning and Development, or equivalent professional or volunteer experience.

What is the role
Reporting directly to the Head of Service, you will be responsible for a team of Co-ordinators who in turn manage groups of volunteers to deliver and evaluate the support to victims and witnesses, our service users, at local court and community-based services. You will be responsible for ensuring, within your services, that VSS’s organisational objectives are being implemented at a local level and have a role in business planning to ensure that all service users within your local area are aware of, and have access to, the support they need. You will be responsible for all aspects of people management for staff in your area, ensuring that employees and volunteers are supported, knowledgeable and capable to deliver the support that meets service user’s needs.
Location:Inverness office, with travel across the locality and further afield being an expectation of this role.
We offer a 28 hour working week. You will also join a rota of Service Managers to provide remote management support around the country on an on-call basis. You will receive an additional allowance for this.
Primary location: Inverness, however be able to travel throughout Highlands and Islands Locality essential (this includes Elgin, Inverness, Tain, Wick, Fort William, Portree, Stornoway, Lochmaddy, Oban, and Orkney, Shetland and the Outer Hebrides (Western Isles).
Work pattern:Monday - Friday 8AM - 8PM & Saturday 10AM - 4PM (the work pattern can be in between these hours, further details can be discussed at interview stage)
What you’ll need to be successful
We are looking for a dynamic, driven, and motivated individual with a proven track record in managing and supporting the delivery of high-quality support and staff within our community and court services across the Highland area. You must have a degree qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience, continuing professional development and the ability to plan and organise complex workloads with shifting deadlines in order to meet specific targets, ensuring quality output. Good verbal and written communications skills, along with the ability and confidence to develop effective internal and external relationships which deliver organisational goals. And willingness to be flexible in working hours and able to travel as required. In return you will receive, regular training, supervision and opportunities to expand your skills including learning about the criminal justice system.
As well as being responsible for your team, you will have lead responsibility for safeguarding across the Locality Manager team. In this capacity, you will work closely with the Head of Service Delivery and peers to actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our safeguarding across the locally delivered services.

What is the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Support Co-ordinator , working 35 hours per week.

Reporting directly to a Locality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring, within your Service(s), that VSS’s local service development and delivery plan is being implemented within your geographical area(s). Service delivery is provided by a team of skilled and knowledgeable volunteers, you will be responsible for planning their deployment to ensure that the service delivered meets the desired outcomes of victims and witnesses of crime, our service users.
Responsible for all aspects of a volunteer engagement with VSS at your services, including recruitment, induction, learning and development, ongoing performance management and support. Contributing to business planning and co-ordination ensuring that continuous learning takes place to monitor that the outcomes of service users are being met.

The Database Manager will ensure FVA's innovative multi-agency database of community services across all of Fife is high quality, impactful and well used.
You will oversee data protection and confidentiality aspects of the database and data, ensure the database design meets stakeholder needs, and report and analyse data trends and usage. Line managing the Data Administration Officer you will support the collection, entry and maintenance of data and support the work of other colleagues with data requirements to enable consultations, communication and statistical analysis.

The Database Support Officer will ensure high quality, accurate data is entered and maintained in an innovative multi-agency database of community services across all of Fife. Working as part of a small team, you will identify data on services, maintain the data, support partners to make use of the data, and conduct some basic data analysis and reports.
You will encourage and support service providers to maintain their own data in the database. You will run reports and analysis on data and produce datasets to meet the requirements of clients while complying with data protection and confidentiality requirements at all times.

Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a highly motivated and results driven individual with extensive experience of volunteer management, to join our team as a Senior Branch Engagement Officer – Scotland.
Our network of Branches are entirely volunteer run by parents, carers and autistic individuals who want to make a difference to autistic people. They are local, community led and entirely responsive to the needs of autistic people in their area.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting these branches to implement policies and procedures to keep activities safe and legal and become more sustainable.
To be successful, you will have good communication skills and have strong leadership qualities. You will need to have a good knowledge and understanding of volunteer management and be educated to at least university degree level in an appropriate discipline or proven track record in the field.
Where you will be working:
This role will be home based, so you must be able to work remotely (IT equipment will be provided). Candidates must be based in Scotland.
This is a permanent contract working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
