The Wildlife Information Centre (TWIC) is an environmental charity with an established reputation for excellence in the provision of biodiversity data within south-east and part of central Scotland. With 3.3 FTE staff plus volunteers, TWIC currently holds almost 4 million species records as well as extensive habitats and designated sites information. Our programme of events supports new and existing recorders and stimulates interest in biological recording amongst the wider public.

We are looking for an Advice Team Lead with the desire to deliver a high quality, target driven, customer focused advice service within the Home Energy Scotland Advice Centre South East. To be successful in this role you will need to be a dynamic leader who can motivate a team to achieve high standards in a fast-paced environment, supporting individuals to deliver a high quality customer experience that empowers households in Scotland to take action
The successful candidate will be expected to be hands-on, coaching a team of 10-12 Energy Advisors with the support of a Senior Energy Advisor, coordinating the allocation of work to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the advice centre. You will work closely with the Advice Team Manager to achieve high productivity and quality outputs, whilst looking to maintain a culture that supports individuals to develop within a high performing team.
With a commitment to excellent customer service and an interest in the environment you will be highly organised with an ability to develop and deliver efficient and straightforward processes. You will be an excellent communicator who is adaptable and able to manage change, ensuring the team is equipped to deliver up to date information to households in Scotland.

Formed in 2019, Sustainable Kirriemuir is a Scottish community-led environmental charity which seeks to increase our community’s awareness of the impacts of climate change and the benefits of sustainable practices. We achieved charitable status in August 2023.
Our vision is for Kirriemuir to be a sustainable, net-zero community where people and nature flourish. The Role
This is a brand new role and a great opportunity for the right person to shape the future of Active & Sustainable Travel in Kirriemuir. You will be responsible for all aspects of Active & Sustainable Travel across the organisation including leading bike repair workshops, managing the cycle loan scheme, leading cycle rides, teaching cycle skills, developing an active travel map of the area and engaging with the community on issues relating to active and sustainable travel. Our Trustees/Directors are responsible for VCEL's overall governance. Meeting a minimum of 5 times a year, they set the organisation's strategy and ensure we are accountable to our funders and our regulators. To bring additional skills and expertise to the Board, we are seeking applications from dedicated individuals from wide ranging and diverse backgrounds including those with a background in law, finance, business, human resources, marketing, fundraising and the voluntary sector with an interest in making a difference.
