Fife Women’s Aid are looking to recruit a part-time worker to provide advice, advocacy, support and services to children, young people and families who have experienced domestic abuse. Applicants should have experience of providing support in a relevant social care setting.
The successful applicants will have at least SVQ Level III or equivalent level of qualification in childcare or other relevant subject, or equivalent experience and willingness to work towards a qualification.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high degree of motivation and have the ability to work as part of a team as well as flexible hours to suit the needs of families. An ability to cover on-call is an advantage (additional payments are made for this role).

The Database Manager will ensure FVA's innovative multi-agency database of community services across all of Fife is high quality, impactful and well used.
You will oversee data protection and confidentiality aspects of the database and data, ensure the database design meets stakeholder needs, and report and analyse data trends and usage. Line managing the Data Administration Officer you will support the collection, entry and maintenance of data and support the work of other colleagues with data requirements to enable consultations, communication and statistical analysis.

The Database Support Officer will ensure high quality, accurate data is entered and maintained in an innovative multi-agency database of community services across all of Fife. Working as part of a small team, you will identify data on services, maintain the data, support partners to make use of the data, and conduct some basic data analysis and reports.
You will encourage and support service providers to maintain their own data in the database. You will run reports and analysis on data and produce datasets to meet the requirements of clients while complying with data protection and confidentiality requirements at all times.

The Service
Our Older Persons' Service addresses loneliness and social isolation among older people through volunteer befriending, social cafes, and our Help to Stay at Home service.
The Job
The Older Persons Service promotes social inclusion opportunities for isolated and lonely vulnerable older people by providing 1:1 support in people’s own homes. The regular contact that this service will bring will make a real difference to an older person’s life. Older people will ideally benefit emotionally through shared interests and experiences with their matched staff member and also through practical assistance, such as help with transport to Health Services including GP, dentist and hospital appointments, collection of prescription, support to attend appointments, shopping trips and social outings.
The purpose of the job is to work closely with the project workers and volunteers to support the people who receive our services to become engaged and included within their communities.
About You
You will have good computer skills and the ability to use technology efficiently to maintain and update records, combined with a knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting older people. The successful candidate will be able to work openly and honestly in a team setting and have an ability to prioritise their own caseload.
A valid driver's license and access to a car that can be used daily to travel between services as required is essential for this role.

The Scottish Fisheries Museum is seeking a new Chair and Trustees to shape and guide the organisation’s future direction. We are looking for people who are committed to using their expertise and networks in support of our charitable objectives and goals.
Located in Anstruther, the Scottish Fisheries Museum was founded in 1969, to collect, record and interpret the history of the fishing industry in Scotland. The company which operates the museum is a registered charity, and the museum has expanded to occupy several adjacent properties. The charity holds over 65,000 artefacts, including historic fishing vessels and two currently operational vessels, recognised as a collection of national significance.

As company Directors and charity Trustees, the Board is responsible for leadership, direction, and oversight to a small team of nineteen, mostly part time, paid staff, plus significant volunteer support, which is vitally important to the museum.
The museum has come through the difficult Covid and post Covid period, but there are undoubtedly ongoing challenges. We are looking for new Trustees, including a new Chair, to lead the organisation over the next few years. We are looking to develop our resilience, combining our local context and commitment with the perspective that comes from a nationally recognised collection, presenting an industry that continues to be of national significance.
Trustees are not remunerated but can recover expenses. Trustees have carried a heavy load recently but are aiming to move to a more regular and less demanding schedule of formal Board meetings approx. every two months, alternating between on-site and remote meetings. Trustees also contribute by serving on committees such as the Resources Committee and any ad hoc commitments including correspondence. The aim is for an annual commitment of 12-15 days.
