We are looking for a full-time Team Leader to join our dynamic team in Edinburgh.
In this position, you will lead a team of Project Workers as they provide support and opportunity to the adults who attend Upmo.
On a day-to-day basis, Team Leaders supervise and coordinate activities on site, provided support to staff, ensure onsite operations are in line with policy and procedure and assist Team Managers with case and site management. We are looking for a confident communicator with excellent leadership skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
This Team Leader position is primarily based in our service in Edinburgh, where we offer workshop activities to adults with learning disabilities and autism from Links House in Leith, and St. Margaret's House at Meadowbank.
The starting salary for this position is £24,100.
No formal qualification is necessary, but experience of working in social care is preferred.

The Service
Our Edinburgh Mental Health Services is made up of five teams of support workers who provide visiting tenancy support across Edinburgh to people experiencing mental ill health. The service also has a Core and Cluster accommodation service which provides more intensive support to people who have spent time in long-term hospital care. Our support enables the people we work with to live as independently as possible in their own home and improve their mental and physical health.
The Job
We have an exciting opportunity for ambitious and motivated Support Workers to join our team and improve the lives of people supported by our Edinburgh Mental Health Services.
In this role, you will be supported to work using a person centred and trauma informed approach and develop effective relationships with people affected by a range of mental health problems, supporting them to cope in difficult times and working towards recovery and a good life. You will provide emotional, practical and social support to enable people to live as independently as possible and make informed choices in all aspects of their lives.
This role involves the administration of medication to some of the individuals we support. Full training will be provided for this.

Job Overview
This post is one of two part-time Community Engagement Officer posts in the Hub. The other was filled on 8 January 2024 and this second post has fallen vacant. In accordance with an agreed Hub work plan, the Community Engagement Officer will develop and deliver community group support packages to further develop groups’ capacity for climate actions, including skills development, sharing and learning, and help signpost community groups to funding opportunities. They will use communication strategies targeted to the circumstances of the local communities they are engaging. The community outreach work will be as inclusive as possible to ensure that no communities or groups are excluded from the support available from the Hub.
The postholder will be a good team worker, and be prepared, within the context of a 21-hour working week, to work flexibly across Midlothian in response to demands as and when they arise. This may involve some evening and weekend work. Time off in lieu can be provided when required.

The post-holder will work with the team to ensure that our services are well run and of a high quality. The Finance Office is responsible for overseeing the effective running of all finance activities for Home-Start West Lothian including the day to day financial tasks, monthly reporting and supporting the annual accounts process.
