Main duties and responsibilities
We are seeking a part time Team Leader who is passionate and enthusiastic about recovery and who has a good track record in promoting successful recovery development work, peer support and community development initiatives.
A self-starter, and a highly skilled communicator, you will be pivotal in developing good links between treatment & support services, North Lanarkshire Recovery Community (NLRC) and aftercare provision. Employed by Recovery Scotland, you will be comfortable in working with a range of stakeholders to develop and champion a robust recovery orientated system of care that has peer development at its heart.
Length of contract: Initially to 31 March 2026, thereafter to be determined primarily by the availability of funding and the performance of the post holder.

FDAMH’s Counselling Service are recruiting a qualified counsellor or therapist to join our well established Counselling Service. The successful applicant will provide counselling to young people from the ages of 13-18 and their parents/guardians/caregivers, on an individual basis. This post will be a delivered via a hybrid working model, delivering face to face counselling from FDAMH’s building and remote working (Zoom) to suit the needs of individual clients as required. We are seeking applications from people who are qualified to Diploma level in a Counselling therapeutic discipline, with membership of a professional body (COSCA, BACP, BABCP etc). To apply you must have experience of counselling people ages 13 years old and over and we will accept applications from all counselling modalities, e.g. humanistic, psychodynamic, CBT or integrative approach.
TalkTime Scotland is a unique charity dedicated to supporting young people aged 12-25 who are either physically disabled or have a long-term physical health condition, through free weekly sessions of face-to-face or online counselling. Description of Post
The appointed counsellor will be self-employed and insured and will provide person-centred supportive counselling for between 1-4 hours per week. Hours will vary depending on the number of clients and it is envisaged that this work will be in addition to the counsellor’s current workload. Hours are flexible and are by mutual agreement. The rate of pay is £35 per session. A retainer fee of £35 per week will be paid if no sessions are available.
Location
Clients are seen face-to-face at our base at Norton Park, 57 Albion Rd, Edinburgh EH7 5QY. Ideally, the counsellor would live or work within reasonable distance of this location. Clients may also request online or telephone counselling.
Responsible to
The counsellor will be responsible to the Trustees of the charity.
Confidentiality and Record Keeping
The counsellor will be responsible for documenting, maintaining and storing client records consistent with all legal, ethical and professional requirements.

Any successful candidate will be offered support in how to work with young physically disabled people and also the opportunity to share experiences through peer support with other counsellors working for the Charity. We are looking for qualified counsellors with 2 years’ post-qualifying experience, who have delivered counselling to individuals affected by domestic abuse. You must have experience of cross-cultural counselling, and a gendered understanding of domestic abuse and Honour-Based Violence (HBV). You will need to be an effective communicator in English as well as in another language prevalent in Scotland’s Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities, highly organised and have effective casework management skills.
You will be responsible for delivering short-term counselling and psychotherapy interventions to BAME women affected by domestic abuse and HBV and for escalating any concerns around clients’ safety and well-being and child protection concerns, in accordance counselling/psychotherapy ethical codes, Scottish legislation and relevant Sacro policies.
Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme is a requirement this post, as well as membership in a recognised regulatory body (COSCA, BACP, UKCP, etc.).
You must have accreditation, be working towards accreditation or be eligible to work towards accreditation and hold your own indemnity insurance.

GCA deliver services over 6 days per week and throughout Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire and East Renfrewshire
Role:
The Diploma in Integrative Counselling is 2-year course, credit rated at SCQF level 10 by the University of the West of Scotland, and validation from COSCA. GCA is one of the founding COSCA members and adheres to the COSCA ethical framework for good practice in counselling, psychotherapy and counselling skills. The course requires lead tutors who are accredited by COSCA to Diploma level or committed to work towards accreditation. Tutors should be experienced Counsellors who are accredited with an appropriate professional body, or working towards accreditation (e.g., COSCA/BACP/UKCP).
The Lead Course Tutor will have responsibility for two Diploma Courses, leading on one weekly class and one weekend class.
The Lead Course Tutor will be expected to contribute to a GCA CPD calendar, writing and delivering on content agreed with the Course Director.
The Lead Course Tutor will support the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of the Diploma in Integrative Counselling.

What Is the Role?
