We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Project Worker to join our Youth Homelessness Support Service, funded by Perth and Kinross Council the service aims to support young people to transistion from homelessness into settled accommodation, as well as supporting those in tenancies who may be at risk of eviction and young people who want to return home and maintain relationships with their families. The Project Worker will work with young people aged 16-25 years.
The Project Worker will be a leading member of the team, establishing positive relationships with partner agencies across Perth, working to ensure that youth homelessness rates reduce, and that a young person’s experience of homelessness is rare, brief and non-recurring.
This post is ideal for a self-starter, who has previous experience of working in a supportive role in a paid or voluntary capacity and is looking for a new challenge.
For applicants that don’t currently meet the requirements for registration as a support worker in a Housing Support service with the SSSC, this post can be offered as a technical apprenticeship giving the successful candidate a pathway to achieving the SVQ level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care.
The Project Worker post is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund to deliver the Stepping
Stones Project in the Berwickshire area. Stepping Stones Project Worker supports young people aged 10-18 in their communities, with the aim of improving their emotional health and wellbeing, and life chances. The Project Worker will provide universal support to each young person based on their personal needs, helping them to achieve their full potential and to develop skills through non-formal education activities within a universal youth work setting.
The Project Worker will offer support to young people on topics such as emotional health, wellbeing, confidence, transition, anxiety, life-skills cyber-bullying and relationships by offering tailored one-to-one support, targeted small group sessions and youth work activities. The project also supports young people to engage with training, volunteering, youth achievement awards, social action and joint activities with other youth groups in the Scottish Borders.

Linlithgow Young People’s Project (LYPP) is a youth charity working with young people from all backgrounds in Linlithgow and surrounding villages. Formed in 1990 by a partnership of local churches, LYPP's aim is to foster a sense of 'hope' in the lives of young people by creating engaging and encouraging spaces for them to grow!
LYPP’s work revolves around 5 key areas, Informal Drop-in, Health and Wellbeing, Schools Work, Holiday Programmes and Youth Volunteering. Each year, LYPP works with around 1000 young people from the age of 5 to 25, with our core presence being amongst those of secondary school age many of whom are from areas of deprivation. LYPP has grown significantly since its inception, partnering with the community, churches, and other local service providers to deliver barrier free and innovative youth work.
This year we are looking to expand our team and take on a new dedicated youth worker to run our informal drop-in activities and holiday and events programme. If you would like to join our small and dedicated team at an exciting stage of our project, please read on!
About the role
We are looking for a youth worker, with a minimum of 3 year’s experience, who is ready to take on this exciting role of developing our current drop-in provision within Linlithgow and Bridgend and explore the possibility of expanding this provision to Winchburgh. You will be required to coordinate, create and deliver informal youth work programmes in our drop-in spaces including topic-based sessions in consultation with young people. You will be expected to lead a small team of sessional staff and volunteers and develop exciting programmes for young people to be a part of.
The successful applicant with be responsible for coordinating our holiday programme throughout the February, Easter, Summer and October school holidays and take a lead on our community events in conjunction with young people and external partners. This will involve working with the wider LYPP team, managing waiting lists, and ensuring each event is safe and fun for all participants.
Applicants will be required to work within a set budget, creating risk assessments, advertising events on social media, and liaising with partner organisations and parents when needed. The successful applicant will become part of a dynamic and supportive team and will work collaboratively on their own projects as well as lending support to others.

Some of the essentials we are looking for in candidates
A relevant qualification, to a minimum standard of HNC/SVQ 3 (SCQF level 7) in a discipline related to working with children and young people, or equivalent work experience.
Ideally, you will have experience working with children in Early Years settings.
You will also need a minimum of two years’ experience working in youth work, community, or education settings, as well as demonstrate knowledge of co-production, child protection, participatory decision-making, and much more.

Rock Trust are delighted to be expanding the successful ‘Housing First for Youth’ service into Glasgow. We are looking for a team member who has experience of supporting young vulnerable people accessing our services. The role will involve working intensively with a small caseload of young people to coordinate and provide emotional and practical support.
The Project Worker will work directly with young people to coordinate and provide emotional and practical support on a 1:1 and group basis. What we are looking for....
As part of a small team, you will ensure that the highest level of physical and emotional care is provided to the children and young people. Experience in this type of work is preferred however we will consider all applications. The requirement is to work mainly weekends with occasional week nights, depending on the needs of our young people. Weekends can include sleepovers and wakened night shifts. There are various part time hours available which can be discussed at interview.
