We are currently seeking applications for two Communication Manager’s within Disclosure Scotland based in Glasgow. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria below will be invited to the assessments.These are critical posts for Disclosure Scotland in a time of significant change. We are looking for two skilled communication professionals to deliver Disclosure Scotland’s Communications and Engagement Strategy 2018 – 2021. One of the posts would focus on internal communications, whilst the other will focus on external communications. Both posts will require a level of flexibility and cross working to cover the two key functions within Disclosure Scotland.The work on this team is fast-paced. You will have a proven track record of managing your time in a high performing team, with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team, using your own initiative to balance competing priorities to meet tight deadlines. It would be beneficial if the successful candidate held a relevant professional qualification in communications, such as the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Diploma or has the aim of working towards a professional qualification.

Qualifications Required

For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent. Other qualifications equivalent to these may also be acceptable, if you are in any doubt please contact to discuss. Essential Criteria

1. Insight: Experience of using insight to identify target audiences and partners to inform communications objectives, messages and solutions.

2. Ideas: Ability to generate communications ideas including content and messages for target audiences while considering the best channels to use.

3. Implementation: Ability to deliver an effective communication strategy and associated products for example news release, tweets, marketing materials, infographics.

4. Impact: Experience of using evidence to assess the effectiveness of communication and reviewing results against objectives.
