Aberdeen based charity, Citymoves Dance Agency SCIO has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with strong business skills, leadership qualities, and a desire to work in the dynamic world of the arts to take up the challenging role of Chief Executive of the regional dance agency for North East Scotland.

Citymoves Purpose: Leading Positive Impacts Through Dance in the North East of Scotland

Citymoves Aims:

1. To increase and encourage participation in dance for all ages and abilities, building a dance community
2. To support and nurture dance talent, growing a network of dance artists
3. To grow audiences for dance, and develop a curiosity for the art form
4. To be a dynamic organisation, developing dance related projects that identify and respond to local needs and national priorities
5. To lead collaborative practice and forge strong relationships and partnerships locally, nationally and internationally
6. To promote the physical, mental and social benefits of dance for overall wellbeing, ensuring access and inclusion for all

Scope of the Role of Chief Executive Officer:

1. Reports to the Board of Citymoves SCIO and leads the Citymoves Team
2. Provides reports and assurance to the Board and key funders
3. Overall accountability for delivery of the business strategy and plan
4. Identifies and drives business growth opportunities and partnerships
5. Accountable for annual operational budget of circa £350k
