Organisational Profile

St Joseph’s Services have been providing care and support services to adults with a learning disability in Midlothian and Edinburgh for over 94 years.

Key duties

St Joseph’s Services need a confident, professional, inspirational team leader to support a staff team, the people who use the service and their families and Stakeholders.

We provide Housing Support / Care at Home services to adults living in their own homes. We also provide care and support to adults living within our one care home setting. This post represents an opportunity for the right person to inspire and lead a team, creating the best possible environment for the people we support to live independent, fulfilling lives as part of their local community.

Along with your Practice Development Leader, you will be part of a Circle of Best Practice and you will be expected to contribute to the Organisational strategy and operations of the Circle and St Joseph’s Services as a whole.

The post-holder will uphold St Joseph’s Services Christian Principles and Vincentian Philosophy and Values.

Could you support someone with a learning disability to live a good life?

We are looking for enthusiastic, caring, committed and motivated individuals to support adults with learning disabilities develop skills and live a fulfilling life. St Joseph’s Services mainly provides housing support/ care at home services to adults within their own homes. We also have a care home in Midlothian for adults with a learning disability.

All staff are expected to work to St Joseph’s Services Vincentian Values and uphold our service promises.

You will be part of a friendly staff team and you will help the people we support do the things that they enjoy, to follow their interests and to develop friendships in the local area – enabling the people we support to grow and prosper as citizens in their community.

Although advantageous no previous experience is necessary – full training and support will be provided.

Can you make a difference in an organisation that supports Adults with a Learning Disability?

This post represents an exciting opportunity to support the development of the administration department within St Joseph’s Services. We are looking for a motivated individual with administration experience to join the administration team.

The administrator will support the senior administrator and the administration team with their responsibilities for: Organisational Administration, HR Administration, IT, Website and Social Media development and Business Administration. The postholder will support the development of systems and strategies to maintain and enhance St Joseph’s Services current provision of these areas.

Based at the head office in Roswell you will be part of a small and dynamic team that plays a pivotal role in the operation of St Joseph’s Services – enabling us to ensure that the people we support to grow and prosper as citizens in their community and live happy, healthy, independent lives in their own homes.
