Based at the head office in Roswell, you will be part of a small and dynamic team that plays a pivotal role in the operation of St Joseph’s Services – enabling us to ensure that the people we support grow and prosper as citizens in their community and live happy, healthy, independent lives in their own homes.

The Administrator will form part of the administration team and will share their responsibilities for organisational administration, maintain the management system for HR information, HR administration, IT, assist in the maintenance and development of the website and social media platforms, archiving and business administration.

We are looking for a motivated individual with administration experience to join our team.

We are looking for a motivated individual with good Sales and Purchase Ledger experience who is open to new challenges and opportunities.

Key Elements of the Role:

  • Checking and posting of Purchase Ledger invoices.
  • Purchase ledger payments by BACS and occasional ‘one off’ payments.
  • Preparing and raising sales ledger invoices to Local Authorities and Ad Hoc invoices using Sage 50
  • Audit/checking of finance records held for People we Support
  • Processing petty cash requests
  • Weekly/Month end account reconciliations (Bank, Petty Cash etc.)
  • There will from time to time be additional duties required to cover holiday/absence in Finance Team, and ad hoc duties as required.

Could you lead, inspire and motivate a team to provide high quality care and support to adults with a learning disability?

Organisational Profile:

St Joseph’s Services have been providing care and support to adults with a learning disability in Midlothian and Edinburgh for over 95 years. We provide Housing Support/Care at Home services to people living in their own homes as well as to those living in one care home setting.

Key duties:

We are looking for a Team Leader to lead and manage a team of support workers to support adults with a learning disability within their own home. The role requires someone positive, motivated, solution focussed and who responds positively to new challenges.

You will be responsible for managing staff on shift as well as coaching and mentoring staff in using a compassionate and best practice approach. You will lead the staff team in using innovative and creative approaches to support the people we support to live active and fulfilling lives within their local community to achieve their personal outcomes.

Ideally, you will have excellent communication, organisational skills and an attention to detail with experience of working collaboratively with the people we support, their families and in partnership with local authority health and social work teams. You will lead and support staff in the writing of support plans ensuring the health and wellbeing of the people we support is met.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a Practice Development Leader within a Circle of Best Practice to continue to provide and continually develop high quality support. You will be expected to contribute to the organisational strategy of St Joseph’s services, the operations of the Circle and St Joseph’s Services as a whole.

Registration:

The role is categorised as ‘Supervisor’ level with the Scottish Social Services Council and applicants should ensure that they can or will be able to meet the registration requirements.
