CoMoUK is currently advertising a role that is split between supporting our Scotland and wider UK team.

This Senior Project and Research Officer will lead on a range of projects and research activity, keeping abreast of industry changes and collating information on impacts and best practice in shared transport into guidance documents and reports.

CoMoUK staff are located in London, Edinburgh & Leeds. We are currently working remotely with some access to our office in Edinburgh. We are flexible on the location for this role

This is a special opportunity to lead the national charity for the public benefit of shared transport, Collaborative Mobility UK (CoMoUK), in Scotland.

We exist to further the social, environmental and economic benefits of shared transport such as bike and car share schemes. We conduct unique national research, accredit operators, work closely with public authorities of all kinds and run a forward-thinking programme with Transport Scotland on shared transport.

The successful applicant will be CoMoUK’s lead in Scotland, responsible for delivering that work programme and all other activities in Scotland, as well as managing the team and representing CoMoUK publicly to Scottish stakeholders.

In the year to spring 2022, our work programme with Transport Scotland is focussed on delivering a green recovery from Covid-19, cutting greenhouse gas emissions, improving air quality and reducing inequalities. The programme encompasses expertise, strategic promotion, behaviour change and we have an exciting roster of products, research and advice forthcoming.

We want someone who can work with a range of stakeholders in delivering arguments for change that are backed up by evidence and a fresh approach to spatial and transport planning; someone who can lead a team, budget and programme and who is looking for a chance to influence Scottish policy and practice as it moves through the Covid-19 pandemic and towards its climate change and vehicle mileage reduction targets.

We do this via research, operator accreditation, stakeholder engagement, policy work and advocacy.

This Senior Development Officer will provide advice on shared transport and mobility hubs in the built environment context. They will play an active role in partnership development with local authorities, housing developers, housing associations, health authorities and employers among other stakeholders. The Officer will support these key groups through feasibility research, scheme design, partnership building and the implementation of new hubs and schemes. The Officer will also liaise with the Scottish Government on its planning reform processes.

This Senior Development Officers will provide advice on community shared transport scheme design and development. They will support local authorities, community transport organisations and community groups through feasibility research, scheme design, partnership working and implementation of new schemes. They will also lead on the management of CoMoUK’s micro-grants scheme which provides seed funding for community groups setting up shared transport schemes.
