The Brock is a charity and social enterprise that provides constructive therapeutic work activities and facilitated social integration for people with chronic mental health conditions. We focus on what people can do rather than what they can’t. We offer stimulating opportunities to socialise and learn new skills in horticulture, woodwork and a variety of crafts.

Throughout the current pandemic, The Brock has continued to deliver support to people with chronic mental health conditions in a variety of ways. Our service offering has been adapted over the past two years, and flexibility if key when working at The Brock. From April to September, we also open on Saturdays
We are now seeking an energetic, empathetic and enthusiastic person to join our team. Please only apply if you have an in-depth understanding of the impact of living with a chronic mental health condition.
You’ll share our vision and have the necessary skills to provide support to our service users, and you will have the ability to start each day afresh; you will have the resilience to respond to ever changing personal needs and business priorities. You will be a people person with practical skills and knowledge in either horticulture, woodwork or crafts – preferably a combination of these. When appropriate, you will drive the project vehicle.

You will be joining the Brock at an exciting time as we develop as a social enterprise and expand our areas of activity. There is significant opportunity for the post holder to work in a team of experienced facilitators, and to use your imagination and creativity to influence the direction of the organisation and its impact on service users.
Having the right mind-set, attitude and approach is as important to us as having the right experience and skills. We are a young and growing organisation; it is essential that we find the right candidate.
