Glenboig Development Trust is a community led organisation, based in Glenboig, North Lanarkshire We have been in existence for 20 years developing and delivering support mechanisms and activities to Young Families, Children and Youth, Vulnerable Adults, Older Adults, Employability, Post Office Services, General Shop, Café and Community Transport.
We are also the Lead organisation for Health & Social Care Integration through the Community Solutions Partnership for the Coatbridge Locality and work in partnership with NHS Lanarkshire, North Lanarkshire Council, Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire and various 3rd Sector agencies.
We have recently moved into our new purpose-built facility in Glenboig and with this move we have expanded our services beyond Glenboig and Coatbridge.
We now have vacancy for 16 hrs post for Carer Team Leader.
This is a new and exciting role with in the organisation to support unpaid carers with the creation of two fortnightly support groups and a new Sitter Service to allow unpaid carers some respite from their caring role. You will develop and lead a new team of volunteers to support the groups and the Carer Sitter Service.
