Positive realities are seeking a new member of the team to join an exciting project, working with girls to shape new and existing sports programmes at Inch Park Community Sports Club. The aim is to help address some of the barriers girls face in participating in sports. The successful candidate will be committed to developing young people through youth work principles, and able to work with a variety of stakeholders to help improve the health and well being of girls in South East Edinburgh.

To provide a development assistant and administrative function for the organisation worked flexibly. The role will involve supporting young people, their families and professionals through providing 1:1 interventions and supporting volunteers. It will also include responsibility for data and file management, dealing with suppliers and general office duties. Development and support will be provided, so personal values and the ability to relate well to young people and their families are considered important, irrespective of any relevant paid experience.
The Board of Trustees are seeking a dynamic and suitably qualified General Manager to lead and manage the work of Positive Realities. Positive Realities was established in 2013 as a community group and now operates as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation. The successful candidate will have considerable management experience, preferably gained within the voluntary sector. The post-holder will take a hands-on approach in managing operational activities, whilst also working with the Board of Management to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organisation. This will involve managing our interventions and learning opportunities workstreams, including services operating in Edinburgh and East Lothian at present. It will also involve strategic leadership, securing funds to maintain and expand services and liaising with a wide range of stakeholders to enhance our reputation as a leading provider of support for children, young people and their families.
