Community regeneration, employability and training organisation, Stirling Community Enterprise Limited, and our parent Charity Raploch Urban Regeneration Company Limited are looking to welcome two new members to our Board of Trustees / Company Directors as we prepare to support the residents of Stirling to recover from the impacts of COVID.
We are looking to identify two enthusiastic individuals who have a passion for creating sustainable change in terms of economic, social and physical wellbeing for our Stirling wide community.
Positions available are on a voluntary basis.

What is involved?
As a Charitable Trustee and member of the Board of Company Directors, you would be instrumental in guiding the strategic future of the Charity and its trading subsidiary.
Directors will be expected to attend around 10 meetings per year, including 4 – 5 full board meetings and interim subgroup meetings. We expect Board members to participate in the majority of meetings either in person or via video conferencing.
Directors may at times be asked to play a role in the operation of the charity and trading company by attending events and speaking to the media, depending on the trustee’s particular skills and interests.

Support offered to those accessing our services includes 121 mentoring, disclosure support, employability skills and work experience as well as both nationally recognised, accredited and in-house, qualifications and sector specific training across a range of industries.
About the Role
You will lead our highly experienced training and support team in the delivery of existing contracts and agreements, with line management responsibility of a passionate group of trainers, mentors, and key workers. You will work collaboratively with partners in the third, private and public sector including developing and managing partnership projects, securing funding where necessary and reporting on outcomes. You will support the launch of a new digital delivery platform including managing the production of new content and ensuring effective client management.
You will play an active role on the Senior Management Team, reporting to the Managing Director, contributing to strategic planning, and representing Stirling Community Enterprise at a local, regional, and national level.
As an experienced manager with exceptional communication and planning skills, alongside a good working knowledge of the employability and/or training sector, you will have recent experience managing complex workloads and a proven track record of making best use of the skills and experience within your team.
You will have demonstrable project management, organisational and decision-making skills. As a confident communicator you will be proficient in tailoring your communication style to meet the needs of your audience and that of the organisation.
Stirling Community Enterprise is a community-based employability, support and training provider that helps people journey back into work.
As the trading arm of Raploch Urban Regeneration Company their services are open to people living in the Stirling Council area who experience barriers to getting a job. It helps people increase their confidence, skills, knowledge and general wellbeing whilst gaining current and relevant work experience through the delivery of in-house and SQA certificated programmes. Alongside Partner Employers they provide a range of supportive work experience opportunities and on the job training.
Operating from the Kildean Business & Enterprise Hub where they take a partnership approach to delivery, the Stirling Community Enterprise is an active partner in Stirling’s Local Employability Partnership. The newly refurbished Boilerhouse (a £700,000 training hub) provides space for organisations to come together for the benefit of those whose need is the most.
The Strategic Plan 2021-26 sets out ambitious five-year strategic goals and identifies a need to ensure that the Group continues to have operational infrastructure capable of meeting both current and future needs.
The organisation is now looking for its next Chief Executive to lead it into a new chapter. The position heads up both organisations and its principal purpose will be to work with the Board to develop and implement the Strategic Plan, in line with their Vision, Mission and Values. You will support the Board in adhering to sound governance and having appropriate reporting and control mechanisms in place. You will be responsible for formulating, implementing and reviewing strategies, policies and financial frameworks, ensuring that short, medium and long-term plans are in place to deliver the requirements of the Business Plan.
As a charity which works in partnership with others, and provides services through contracts and tenders, the CEO will have a strong focus on external facing activities, such as networking, partnership building and representing the organisation at public meetings and events. You will build a strong network of partners in order that provision of services is accessible to clients and opportunities for joint working and continuous improvement of services are identified.
Under your leadership, you will oversee the social enterprise run from within SCE (SCE Contracts). This will need to be shaped and developed to deliver income generating opportunities.
A key aspect of the role will be to be a leader of people and to involve, energise and encourage the whole team to become involved in the future growth of the organisation. The post holder will line manage the Operations Manager in their delivery of the operational targets set in the Strategic Plan.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Community Justice Officer to join our established team.
You will support individuals currently in or on the periphery of the justice system by providing one to one wrap around support guided by the needs of the individual. Through working in partnership with a range of partners based in our community hub you will support individuals to achieve their aspirations through moving forward with their life.
