Youth and Community Worker - full time (35 hours) including evening and weekend working

Job Purpose:

• To plan, develop and support community activities within and out with the centre

• To work alongside a team of sessional staff and volunteers

• To provide evaluation and reports to meet CCC’s goals and objectives

• To deliver targets and objectives set in accordance with funding partners

• To collaborate with other statutory and third sector organisations

• To liaise with the Community Development Coordinator and the Volunteer Coordinator

Corstorphine Community Centre (CCC) is a charity running a shop and Hub collaborating with other local organisations to provide a range of activities across the local area. We are looking to fill the post of Volunteer Coordinator as soon as possible to work 21 hours per week spread flexibly over the week to meet the demands of the centre and shop.

Main duties will include:

• Developing, implementing and evaluating an ongoing volunteer recruitment campaign
• Developing and maintaining all relevant volunteer information
• Developing, delivering and monitoring an ongoing training programme
• Supporting community-based initiatives to ensure the effective placement of volunteers

• Proven experience of recruiting and leading a team

CCC are recruiting energetic, flexible & committed youth worker/s for a Thursday Evening 5.30-8.30pm.

Duties include:

• Planning, delivery and evaluation of quality youth and children's provision
