Administrator

The Administrator is responsible for supporting the Senior Administrator with their responsibilities and duties in the areas of business administration, HR administration, health and safety and IT co-ordination and archiving.

The Administrator is essential in providing administrative and secretarial support to the Senior Leadership Team. The post-holder will be expected to provide and maintain efficient administrative and secretarial support and to undertake, as required, specific duties.

The post-holder, as part of the Administration team will be expected to contribute to that teams overall strategy and operations and will be expected to uphold St Joseph’s Services Vincentian Philosophy and Values.

Team Leader

St Joseph’s Services have been providing care and support to adults with a learning disability in Midlothian and Edinburgh for over 95 years. We provide Housing Support/Care at Home services to people living in their own homes as well as to those living in one care home setting.

Key duties:

We are looking for a Team Leader to lead and manage a team of support workers to support adults with a learning disability within their own home. The role requires someone positive, motivated, solution focussed and who responds positively to new challenges.

You will be responsible for managing staff on shift as well as coaching and mentoring staff in using a compassionate and best practice approach. You will lead the staff team in using innovative and creative approaches to support the people we support to live active and fulfilling lives within their local community to achieve their personal outcomes.

Ideally you will have excellent communication, organisational skills and an attention to detail with experience of working collaboratively with the people we support, their families and in partnership with local authority health and social work teams. You will lead and support staff in the writing of support plans ensuring the health and wellbeing of the people we support is met.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a Practice Development Leader within a Circle of Best Practice to continue to provide and continually develop high quality support. You will be expected to contribute to the organisational strategy of St Joseph’s services, the operations of the Circle and St Joseph’s Services as a whole.

Registration:

The role is categorised as ‘Supervisor’ level with the Scottish Social Services Council and applicants should ensure that they can or will be able to meet the registration requirements.
