Community Care Assynt is a community based charity working out of the Assynt Centre. We run a health and well being hub providing the people of Assynt with a care service in association with NHS Highland.
The role of the care manager is to manage a small group of staff and volunteers, promote the services within the local community and liaise with the board of CCA and the NHS. The Centre provides a lunch to local people in need Monday to Friday, activity sessions and works with the local community groups to support the needs of older people in Lochinver and the Assynt area.
The role will require a person who enjoys working independently with strong leadership qualities, a diploma in social work or nursing qualification. You will require a management qualification in care or similar up to level 10 or be able to work towards attaining the qualification.

THE JOB
Usual Hours of work Mon-Fri between 8am – 4pm or to suit service needs (exact set up to be negotiated, but it is envisaged that the 40 hours will need to be worked over 5 days per week.
The Care Manager plays a vital role as he or she will be the registered Manager for our Support Service which is registered with the Care Inspectorate. The Care Manager oversees the work of 4 other permanent part-time members of staff and 3 relief staff.
A key part of the role is to work with the Board of Directors to maintain the quality of our current services, as well as pro-actively supporting them in developing a sustainable future for the organisation within the community.
