Centre Manager

Ambitious charity Above Adventure is looking to appoint a forward-thinking and organised Centre Manager to lead on the launch and running of the new state-of-the-art climbing and bouldering facility in Kilmarnock. The centre is due to open in August 2021, so there is no better time to join the team and be part of the exciting activities building up to launch day.

The highly-visible local project, is a first of it’s kind in the West of Scotland and the culmination of many years of hard work, fundraising and planning. With a long-serving team of 2 staff, and dedicated Board of Trustees, the Centre Manager will be joining an established, successful team. They will be a key contributor to recruiting the staff team needed to run the centre, and also lead on the identification and implementation of new systems and processes to support operations.

The Board of Trustees are excited to be recruiting for his key leadership role, and welcome applications from candidates with experience and attitude to succeed.

The board of ambitious charity Above Adventure is seeking new Trustees to join them on their exciting journey to open a state-of-the-art climbing and bouldering facility in the West of Scotland this year.

Trustees will be joining the organisation at an exciting time, with the bouldering centre due to open in August 2021, and the full climbing facility in Spring 2022.

If you have expertise and energy to commit to a highly-visible local project, and a hard-working team, we’d love to hear from you. All applications are welcome, but the board is particularly keen to hear from Trustees who’ve had previous board experience, or have skills in Financial and Project management or Fundraising/Business Development.
