Volunteer Coordinator

SupportED is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to assist the Development Manager to develop and expand the volunteer led services. The charity is the leading community eating disorder charity in Scotland and supports people with eating disorders, their carers and families in a growing number of geographical areas across Scotland, with face-to-face groups prior to Coronavirus, and currently by Zoom.

The charity recruits, trains and supports volunteers who facilitate support groups for people with eating disorders and carers and has also introduced a 1 to 1 befriending service.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and well organised self-starter with drive and a passion for helping others. Full training will be given and ongoing development and support provided.

The ability to attract, train, manage and motivate volunteers is essential and a good understanding of eating disorders and/or related mental health conditions is desirable.

For this post it is essential to have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
