The Outward Bound Trust is an educational charity that inspires young people to believe they can achieve more than they ever thought possible through learning and adventure in the wild.

The UK fundraising team raises over £7m a year to provide bursary support for disadvantaged young people to participate in our residential courses, and towards capital requirements across the Trust. The team of 15 is based across three locations at Waterloo, London, Head Office in Hackthorpe, Cumbria and Glasgow, Scotland.

As Fundraising Executive, you will be part of a team working together with the Head of Scottish Partnerships to raise £750,000.

This is a full-time post in which you'll:

• Have responsibility for your own portfolio of trusts and pro-actively research and recruit new trusts to support Outward Bound
• Supporting the fundraising and stewardship of existing donors for The Trust’s two major projects in Scotland – The Mark Scott Leadership for Life Award and Scotland’s Next Generation.
• Supporting the Head of Scottish Partnerships in the stewardship of Corporate and Major Donors and planning and execution of fundraising events.
• Support the social media activity of the Scotland fundraising team.

This is a varied role with opportunities to provide fundraising support across a number of different income streams. Applicants will be based in Glasgow with hybrid home working considered.

The UK fundraising team raises over £4.5m a year to provide bursary support for disadvantaged young people to participate in our residential courses, and towards capital requirements across the Trust. The team of 15 is based across three locations at Waterloo, London, Head Office in Hackthorpe, Cumbria and Glasgow, Scotland.

As Fundraising Executive you work jointly with our Scotland Fundraising Lead and Trusts & Foundations Fundraising Lead, to raise £500k of trusts’ funding. You’ll also provide support for corporate and major donor fundraising in Scotland, including the organisation and execution of events and other fundraising admin duties as required. The post will include occasional overnight travel to meetings and events.

This is a full time post in which you'll:

• Have responsibility for your own portfolio of 40 trusts
• Pro-actively research and recruit new trusts to support Outward Bound
• Support the Scotland’s Next Generation project with donor stewardship and participant administration
• Support the Scotland Fundraising Lead in the stewardship of corporate and major donors and the planning and execution of fundraising events.

This is a varied role with opportunities to provide fundraising support across a number of different income streams. Applicants can choose to work from our Glasgow office or our Head Office in Hackthorpe, Cumbria. Home working will also be considered.
