Finance Manager

  • Part time
  • £28,000 pro-rata
  • Hybrid working involving a requirement to work from the Edinburgh office a minimum of one day per week, and more during key times in the financial year (eg: budget-planning, audit, reporting).

We are seeking to fill the new role of Finance Manager, to serve the core company finance function of Starcatchers. This person is a key member of the management team and is responsible for the smooth day-to-day financial operations of the company.

This role holds the finance function from ‘top to bottom’, managing the smooth processing of all incoming/outgoing payments through the Quickbooks software, management of the bank accounts and payroll, and supporting staff with their budgets and credit cards. The job involves working closely with the Head of Development & Operations who has overall financial responsibility and works with the Treasurer and Chief Exec to guide the strategic financial plans, set annual budgets and inform income generation and spending decisions.

Comms & Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover)

Starcatchers are seeking a pro-active team player to join our supportive and vibrant team as Communications & Marketing Manager for one-year maternity cover.

Are you a strong strategic thinker with a passion for audience development and visual story-telling? This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a creative environment and using their communications skills to raise the profile of the organisation in Scotland.

The Communications & Marketing Manager manages organisation-wide communications, both internal and external, develops our PR, social media and marketing profile and works closely with the senior management team to explore new avenues for income generation. Early Years Development Manager

Starcatchers are delighted to share details of a brand-new role. Our Early Years Development Manager will be a passionate, confident and skilled communicator who will thrive in a creative environment in a role requiring excellent public speaking and organisational skills.

The Early Years Development Manager will be as comfortable in a facilitator role, as they will be in ensuring attention to detail and excellent administration skills in the day to day operations of the Early Years Development team. A knowledge of Early Years policy in Scotland is desirable, as well as a flair for crafting compelling and engaging resources for Early Years practitioners.
