We are a Registered Charity and Not-for-Profit Social Enterprise and work in partnership with key organisations and groups to provide the service required today and for the future from our facility. As well as being a facility for the residents of North Carrick, we are also a venue for visitors and tourists to and through the area and plan to continue to develop and grow our service to these customers.

The Carrick Centre is located in Maybole at the heart of North Carrick. The Board of Directors is recruiting two new posts to support the work of this thriving, local community hub which serves to benefit everyone across North Carrick.

A busy thriving local community hub which works in partnership with key organisations and groups to provide a wide range of services to people across North Carrick. The Carrick Centre has provided a vital role in the COVID social response providing services, including community meals, to those who need it most.

This is an exciting new post created to manage and develop new and existing community projects and activities in the Centre, including a training kitchen, and activities for people of all ages to become engaged with their community. The post will play a dynamic role in the highly motivated teams of staff, volunteers, Board and partners.

The post holder will need to be passionate about working with local people to create improved opportunities and activities, and supporting volunteers and trainees. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative as well as within team, and be resilient and confident to break through barriers, and make things happen.

Based in the Carrick Centre this is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape an innovative youth work programme for young people across North Carrick. We are looking for a dynamic youth practitioner with a passion to support young people to develop in life and thrive.

The purpose of the role is to promote the personal and social development of young people and work with local partners, services and volunteers. This role is about caring, engaging, and empowering young people across North Carrick.

You will be joining an inspiring team of staff and volunteers, Board and partners. This role will suit someone who enjoys a flexible dynamic and fulfilling work life and wants to build better opportunities for young people in and around where they live.
