Argyll and Bute Women’s Aid (“ABWA”) is a specialist provider of support to women, children and young people who are currently experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse.

We provide safe temporary accommodation in our refuge, crisis support, advocacy, phone, virtual and outreach support.

We are a committed team of Support and Accommodation Workers ensuring the women, children, and young people we support are able to live a life free from abuse.

Support Service Team Leader

Our Service

Argyll & Bute Women’s Aid is a specialist provider of support for women, children & young people who have experienced domestic abuse. Our service is free, confidential and independent, and we are affiliated to Scottish Women’s Aid.

Role

We are looking to recruit a highly skilled and experienced team leader with a calm and focused approach to service delivery and problem solving. Working in our busy, fast-paced and challenging environment, you must be capable of navigating competing demands on your time, while carrying out day to day direct line management responsibilities for our experienced and dedicated support staff. Our ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, solution focused individual with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to motivate others. They will have a passion for improving the lives of women, children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse and experience in providing direct support services for vulnerable people.

Service Manager Full time post (35 hours)

Role Due to a retirement and service development we are looking to recruit a new management team for Argyll Bute Women’s Aid. (ABWA)

The successful Service Manager candidate will be an experienced manager with a proven track record in ensuring the delivery of high-quality services. The Manager will have excellent organisational and leadership skills. They will have experience of working in a fast-paced environment and will have the ability to prioritise and delegate tasks effectively. They will have experience of developing and delivering to strategic and project plans, applying for funding and budget management.

Successful candidate will have a passion for improving the lives of women, children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse. Applicants should be qualified appropriately in order to register at the appropriate level for a Housing Support Service with SSSC or be committed to achieving this qualification.
