The Scottish Chartered Accountants’ Benevolent Association (SCABA) is a charity which supports CAs, their dependants and prospective CAs who are in need. SCABA was founded in 1919 and since then has supported hundreds of members and their families.

Charity Manager

  • Part time
  • £45,000 – £50,000 pro-rata
  • Home or office based with Board meetings each quarter in central Edinburgh. With Covid-19 restrictions the role is currently working from home and Board meetings are via video conference.

The Scottish Chartered Accountants Benevolent Association (SCABA) is a long- established charity which supports members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants' of Scotland and their dependants.

The postholder will be responsible for the delivery of a high-quality charity administration and company secretarial service, the provision of detailed financial information to ensure excellent financial and investment management and support good governance.

The postholder will provide a detailed assessment and advisory service to the Council members to assist them in their decision-making process in the awarding of financial assistance or alternative support.

The post holder will also participate and contribute to on-going service improvement and development within the charity and provide advice relating to current legislation and reporting standards in the Charity sector.
