SDS is seeking to appoint maternity cover for the Opportunities and Equality Manager. The successful candidate will work with SDS branches to support the development of physical activity and sport for participants with disabilities at an engagement and participation level, as well as working with key partners at a local, regional and national level. The post holder will also have lead responsibility for SDS in terms of equality, safeguarding in sport and the Young Persons Sports Panel.
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate proven experience of leading, developing, implementing and evaluating sports policy, procedures and development programmes. This maternity cover is initially offered on a nine-month fixed term basis with a possible extension within an office base in Edinburgh, dependent on COVID-19 restrictions.
Both full time, part-time and flexible hours options will be considered for discussion with the successful candidate. SDS will also consider employment, consultancy or secondment arrangements with agreement from current employer.
