Development Manager

The Traverse Theatre is currently looking for an experienced, inspiring and creative Development Manager who can hit the ground running, supporting the strategic expansion of the Theatre’s individual giving programme, the trust and foundation fundraising portfolio and who can provide an imaginative approach to engaging with the corporate sector through sponsorship, donations, and creative partnerships.

Typical duties include: managing a compelling case for support to increase income generation; overseeing and undertaking research to identify new potential donors, trusts, foundations and corporate supporters; managing the implementation of a successful strategy for individual giving; utilising data and insights to support the development of ambitious targets for income generation; supporting and overseeing timely reporting to funders; and managing relationships with donors, supporters, trusts, foundations and corporate supporters.

The successful candidate will have strong experience of third-sector fundraising, outstanding project management skills, be a creative thinker with problem solving skills, and be an inspiring team player with leadership experience.

This is a full-time, permanent position. A probationary period of 6 months is applicable. Hours of work are 40 per week and are flexible in line with the needs of the organisation.
