We do this by providing a full range of services to improve the wellbeing of everyone affected by MS throughout Greater Glasgow. These include physiotherapy and exercise classes, counselling, advice and information from our MS Specialist Nurse, complementary therapies, speech and language therapy, support groups, oxygen therapy, and welfare & benefits advice. All our services are free to access not only for the person living with MS, but also their family and carers.

We have ambitious plans to reach more people affected by MS, and to ensure we achieve our goals we are looking for a Grants Officer to join our team.

You’ll play a key role in maximising income from charitable trusts, foundations, and public grant funders to support current and future services and organisational core costs. They will support the Senior Grants Manager in the achievement of the income plan, maintaining existing relationships and identifying and securing new funding opportunities.

Working hours are 9.30am – 4.30pm, with a half hour paid lunch break. Your lunch will be provided from our cafe which serves a range of freshly made soups, snacks, toasties and hot drinks

Employees can join our pension scheme with employer matched contributions of 3% or 5% of salary, and death in service cover is also available.

Holiday entitlement is 28 days a year (pro rata) of which 3 are taken when the centre closes between Christmas and New Year, along with 10 public holidays.

You’ll be responsible for will deliver an independent advocacy service to people affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The role will empower individuals to express their views, wishes, and choices while ensuring that they remain involved in all decisions that affect their lives. You’ll also be responsible for supporting clients to access information, communicate their needs, and exercise their rights.

Corporate and Community Giving Manager

We are looking for an experienced and highly proactive Corporate and Community Giving Manager to secure new strategic, commercial, and charity-of-the-year partnerships, as well as engaging and inspiring individuals to raise funds and make a difference to the lives of people living with MS.

Demonstrable experience of successfully cultivating a pipeline to generate new substantive commercially viable partnerships, along with excellent project management capability and interpersonal skills are all essential to succeed in this exciting and challenging role. It’s a varied role with lots of autonomy and plays an integral part in achieving the wider fundraising strategy by collaborating with colleagues across all areas of the fundraising and communications team.

This role will involve some driving; therefore, it is a requirement that applicants hold a full UK driving license or equivalent.

We are seeking to appoint a CEO who will lead our organisation in accordance with our values to effect positive change. Our person-centred approach has resulted in significant growth over the years, both in the services provided and the demand for support, and we now seek a CEO who can lead the organisation to achieve the next level of our strategic objectives.

You will be a thoughtful and empowering leader whose decision-making is based on how best to ensure the wellbeing of the people we help. Bringing significant management experience, you will be directly responsible for day-to-day operations of the charity as well as inspiring, engaging, and empowering the already brilliant, established team.

As someone with experience operating at a very senior level, you will be adept at forming positive relationships with a range of stakeholders including volunteers, clients, funders, statutory bodies, civil servants, and politicians.
