Family Support Coordinator

We are looking to recruit a permanent Family Support Coordinator to join our team based in Raploch. Home-Start Stirling works with families who have at least one child under the age of five years and are experiencing challenging times. Home-Start Stirling provides support within the family home by trained volunteers with the aim of helping families to achieve lasting change that will improve the early life environment for their children. As Family Support Coordinator you will be expected to coordinate support to families, provide support and supervision to volunteers allocated to families on your caseload, some direct work with parents and children and this could include facilitation of some groupwork.

Previous experience of working with children and families is essential. Facilitation of training and working with volunteers would be desirable. Experience of working within the Third Sector would be an advantage.

Full driving licence and use of a car would be desirable but not essential.

This post is also subject to registration with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) and therefore the candidate will have to hold a minimum level of HNC/SVQ 3 qualification in a related field.

Assistant Manager

We are looking to recruit a permanent Assistant Manager to join our small team based in Raploch. This post involves working in partnership with the current Manager to oversee the services delivered by Home-Start Stirling. This post involves the management and supervision of staff and volunteers, supporting the strategic development of the organisation and ongoing monitoring and development. In addition, you may undertake a small amount of direct work with families supported by Home-Start Stirling. Previous experience of working with children and families is essential. Experience of working within the voluntary sector would be an advantage as would a leadership role in a relevant discipline.

Full driving licence and use of a car would be desirable but not essential.

This post is also subject to registration with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) and therefore the candidate will have to hold a minimum level of SCQF Level 7 or 8 in a relevant field and be prepared to work towards a qualification at Level 9 .

The salary is on a fixed point for the current time and is subject to a salary review in summer 2021.

Manager

We are looking to recruit a permanent Manager of Home-Start Stirling to join our team based in Raploch. Home-Start Stirling works with families who have young children and are experiencing challenging times. Home-Start Stirling provides support within the family home by trained volunteers with the aim of helping families to achieve lasting change that will improve the early life environment for their children. As Manager you will hold the senior staff responsibility and will oversee the operations of the charity including staff and financial whilst being directly accountable to a Board of Trustees.

Experience of working with children and families is essential to this role and experience of supporting volunteers would be desirable.

Full driving licence and use of a car would be desirable but not essential.

This post is also subject to registration with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) and therefore the candidate will have to hold a recognised management qualification.
