We are now recruit a Therapeutic Worker to join our new and innovative National Specialist Family Residential Service based in Saltcoats, North Ayrshire. The service provides a range of support for parents and their children in a residential setting for example drug and/or alcohol recovery support, parenting, personal development and health & well-being.

The Role

Your role in our therapeutic community will be key. You’ll manage a caseload, assess the people who use our service and manage their recovery/care plans. It will mean developing and applying a range of therapeutic approaches to meet their individual needs, whether that’s employment, education, health etc. You’ll be the one who sees that everything is coordinated from the moment they’re referred to us to the time that they move home.

As a Therapeutic Worker, you will support individuals accessing the residential rehabilitation programme to achieve outcomes that help create long-term recovery. Using the Therapeutic Community “community as method” model you will empower individuals, families and communities to be confident about recovery.

You will support the day to day running of the therapeutic community, ensuring service user needs are met and the best possible care is provided in an environment that promotes a culture of recovery. Whilst also being confident to deliver therapeutic groups, activities, and specialist interventions in accordance with the TC manual and the needs of the service.

Previous experience is desirable, however not essential. Therapeutic Workers come from many different backgrounds and experiences, and you may have the skills required. We are seeking dedicated individuals, based on your values, willingness to learn new skills and the compassion to deliver the best service possible to our residents.

This is a full-time role averaging 37.5 hours per week. You will be expected to work a rolling rota which includes evening and weekend working.

You will manage the day to day running of our existing housing services and lead your team to ensure high quality recovery focused delivery in accordance with legislation and governing bodies including the Care Inspectorate and commissioner targets. You will have experience of working with people with multiple needs including addiction, and have a working knowledge of housing standards and processes. Having experience of developing and nurturing partnerships to ensure robust pathways and support are in place to ensure our clients needs are fully met. The Glasgow Housing service currently provides ongoing aftercare support for individuals on completion of a range of residential rehabilitation stays, and therefore you will assist all clients in sustaining long-term recovery.

You will be a positive, innovative and motivational leader who will work collaboratively as part of the Scotland Management Team to support Phoenix Futures Scotland Housing growth targets. Therapeutic Rehab Access Worker

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to support individuals from across Scotland to access Phoenix Futures Scottish Residential Rehabilitation service;

You will have experience of working with people with multiple needs including addiction, and have a working knowledge of residential rehabilitation and strengthening recovery capital. Having experience in working with multiple stakeholders and nurturing relationships you will be able to confidently provide guidance to individuals, families and stakeholders in relation to accessing and developing residential rehabilitation pathways into the service.

You will ensure service users feel supported from the point of referral through to their admission to the residential service; offering responsive support to both the individual and their family members. Completing robust assessments and delivering one-to-one and /or group interventions designed to prepare individuals for a rehab stay. You will be based between Scottish Residential service where you will support individuals and the Therapeutic Team with preparations for move-on and our Glasgow Housing service which currently provides ongoing aftercare support for individuals on completion of a range of residential rehabilitation stays. In addition to set check-ins and reviews with each individual throughout the 12month post-rehab period you will also offer a range of in-person and/or virtual group interventions, mutual aid support, drop-in sessions and our Phoenix ReUnited aftercare and activities programme.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RMN or RGN) to join our National Specialist Family Service and Scottish Residential Service.

Supported by the Clinical Mental Health Lead the post-holder will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality and effective nursing support. They will support the management and frontline staff to ensure services adhere to the best practice guidelines and comply with the regulatory standards and clinical policies and procedures.

Working across two residential services in Scotland (National Specialist Family Service – Saltcoats and Scottish Residential Service – Glasgow) you will undertake assessments and high quality physical and mental health interventions, responsive to individual, family and group needs (such as CBT interventions). This post will also support the wider multidisciplinary team in decision making and working with individuals and their families.

This post involves a high level of independent decision making, often with clinically complex situations, therefore, ability to work in this way is essential.

The Trainee Recovery Worker role provides both training and experience, for an individual looking to join the sector.

Ideally you will have some experience of working with people with multiple needs including addiction, and have knowledge of residential rehabilitation and the importance of strengthening recovery capital.

You will work within the team actively supporting individuals accessing the residential programme and their families; for example offering guidance, assisting with assessments, co-facilitation of group interventions.

We are now recruit a Therapeutic Worker to join our new and innovative National Specialist Family Residential Service based in Saltcoats, North Ayrshire. The service provides a range of support for parents and their children in a residential setting for example drug and/or alcohol recovery support, parenting, personal development and health & well-being.

The Role

Your role in our therapeutic community will be key. You’ll manage a caseload, assess the people who use our service and manage their recovery/care plans. It will mean developing and applying a range of therapeutic approaches to meet their individual needs, whether that’s employment, education, health etc. You’ll be the one who sees that everything is coordinated from the moment they’re referred to us to the time that they move home.

As a Therapeutic Worker, you will support individuals accessing the residential rehabilitation programme to achieve outcomes that help create long-term recovery. Using the Therapeutic Community “community as method” model you will empower individuals, families and communities to be confident about recovery.

You will support the day to day running of the therapeutic community, ensuring service user needs are met and the best possible care is provided in an environment that promotes a culture of recovery. Whilst also being confident to deliver therapeutic groups, activities, and specialist interventions in accordance with the TC manual and the needs of the service.

Previous experience is desirable, however not essential. Therapeutic Workers come from many different backgrounds and experiences, and you may have the skills required. We are seeking dedicated individuals, based on your values, willingness to learn new skills and the compassion to deliver the best service possible to our residents.

This is a full-time role averaging 37.5 hours per week. You will be expected to work a rolling rota which includes evening and weekend working.

About You

You will need:

  • An understanding of the complex issues presented by individuals within drug and alcohol recovery.
  • Experience of working with families, and individuals in the substance use sector or related field.
  • The ability to be innovative and be flexible in order to meet the needs of the service.
  • Be able to work effectively with multi-agencies, whilst maintaining the excellent reputation of the service.
  • Knowledge of adult and child protection is essential as you will be working with vulnerable families in a residential setting.

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join the Phoenix Futures Scotland team at Harper House, Scotland's new National Specialist Family Service based in North Ayrshire.

As a specialist addiction recovery charity and housing association, we have developed considerable expertise and support individuals and families at all stages of their recovery. As Deputy Manager you will lead Harper House's programmed interventions and support the day to day running of Harper House, to ensure all families within our care receive the highest standards of responsive support. Leading and nurturing your multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality recovery focused support in accordance with legislation and governing bodies including the Care Inspectorate. You will have experience of working with people and/or families with multiple needs including addiction and have a working knowledge of family interventions and support. Having experience of developing and nurturing partnerships to ensure robust pathways and support are in place to ensure our family’s needs are fully met.

You will be a positive, innovative and motivational leader who will work collaboratively as part of the Scotland Management Team to support Phoenix Futures Scotland developments. As well as being able to ensure service targets are met and compliance with budgeting and financial policy and procedures.
