Support Worker – Saffron Project

Southside Housing Association Ltd is a charitable community controlled housing organisation. We own and manage approximately 2,200 houses and through our own factoring company, SFARS, provide a factoring service to a further 800 houses.

The Saffron Project provides a housing support service to young, single homeless people from a minority ethnic community. The young people are referred from a range of specialist agencies and are accommodated in self contained supported furnished flats in the south of Glasgow for six months to two years or longer. We are seeking a support worker to join the team who will bring a wide range of experience in providing both practical and emotional support in a flexible and resourceful way.

Relief Housing Support Worker

EVH Grade 4 - £11.62 per hour

We wish to recruit a bank of housing support staff to provide cover for leave within our Saffron service to young homeless BME tenants.

Glasgow Care & Repair

Glasgow Care & Repair is a city wide service managed and delivered by Southside Housing Association. This post offers an opportunity to be part of a forward thinking team making a positive difference to people’s lives.

The service delivers Handyperson and advice services to older people and people with disabilities living throughout Glasgow.

We now wish to recruit to add to our growing team as we begin to develop and deliver services to a wider range of customers.

We are seeking an experienced Administrator with excellent customer focus and experience of working in a busy environment. Applicants will have a minimum of three years recent, direct experience of working in a busy office in a customer focused/service role and SVQ Level 3 /HNC in Business Administration or equivalent qualification, or qualified by significant relevant experience.

The service delivers Handyperson and advice services to older people and people with disabilities living throughout Glasgow.

We now wish to recruit to add to our growing team as we begin to develop and deliver services to a wider range of customers.

We are seeking an experienced Handyperson to join the team to increase our workforce to provide a flexible, responsive and effective service. The service supports older people and people with disabilities to remain safely at home and to facilitate their discharge from hospital by providing practical support and assistance. The successful candidate will be qualified by significant relevant experience with three years full time handyperson/building trade experience, preferably with a relevant trade apprentice and relevant qualification e.g. City & Guilds, SVQ in a relevant trade or discipline, and hold a full clean driving licence.

A PVG Check will be requested for the successful applicant.

The post is offered on a sessional basis.

Sessional Concierge

The Association is looking to recruit sessional members of staff for our Concierge team. This is a sessional post. There are no guaranteed hours and this position is not permanent.

Reporting to the Concierge Manager, the Concierge will help deliver a comprehensive Estates Management service to the Association’s residents and properties by carrying out a wide range of duties – gardening, common area cleaning, maintenance, bulk removal, gritting etc.

Previous experience delivering an estate management service within Social Housing or similar is desirable.
