Established since 2007, RASAC P&K has are committed to challenging gender-based violence and recognise that sexual violence is both a cause and consequence of gender inequality in our society. We offer free and confidential support to anyone who identifies as a woman age 12+ years and boys 12-18 years who has experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives. We offer support regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, transgender identity, age, disability, and religious and cultural background. We also, through our RASAC Youth Initiative, work with young people age 12-18 across Perth & Kinross delivering a series of prevention workshops in schools and community settings as well as deliver training to professionals.

Advocacy Worker

The Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre Perth & Kinross are looking for an Advocacy Worker to join our Support Services team. Part of the National Rape Crisis Advocacy Project, this role will provide specialist support and advocacy for survivors age 16+ who are considering reporting to police, or who are already engaged in the criminal justice system following a sexual crime.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will work with a range of stakeholders. Experience of providing support and/or advocacy to individuals affected by trauma is essential, alongside a commitment to working within a gendered analysis of Violence Against Women. RASAC P&K welcome applications from black and minority ethnic women, LGBT women and women with disabilities. Sexual Violence Prevention Worker

The Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre, Perth & Kinross are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic worker to join our team. A team player with youth work experience, the successful applicant will be involved in the delivery of sexual violence prevention workshops with young people age 12-24, addressing issues around sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, sexualisation, consent and healthy relationships.

Experience in project development within a youth work model would be advantageous. A commitment to preventing sexual violence and an understanding of a gendered analysis of violence against women and girls is essential. Candidates need to be skilled in engaging pro-actively with all young people, including hard to reach groups.
