Established since 2007, RASAC P&K has are committed to challenging gender-based violence and recognise that sexual violence is both a cause and consequence of gender inequality in our society. We offer free and confidential support to anyone who identifies as a woman age 12+ years and boys 12-18 years who has experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives. We offer support regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, transgender identity, age, disability, and religious and cultural background. We also, through our RASAC Youth Initiative, work with young people age 12-18 across Perth & Kinross delivering a series of prevention workshops in schools and community settings as well as deliver training to professionals.

Advocacy Worker

The Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre Perth & Kinross are looking for an Advocacy Worker to join our Support Services team. Part of the National Rape Crisis Advocacy Project, this role will provide specialist support and advocacy for survivors age 16+ who are considering reporting to police, or who are already engaged in the criminal justice system following a sexual crime.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will work with a range of stakeholders. Experience of providing support and/or advocacy to individuals affected by trauma is essential, alongside a commitment to working within a gendered analysis of Violence Against Women. Sexual Violence Prevention Worker

The Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre, Perth & Kinross are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic worker to join our team. A team player with youth work experience, the successful applicant will be involved in the delivery of sexual violence prevention workshops with young people age 12-24, addressing issues around sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, sexualisation, consent and healthy relationships.

Experience in project development within a youth work model would be advantageous. A commitment to preventing sexual violence and an understanding of a gendered analysis of violence against women and girls is essential. Candidates need to be skilled in engaging pro-actively with all young people, including hard to reach groups.

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled worker with experience of providing therapeutic support to join our team. This post involves the provision of therapeutic support, information and advocacy services for survivors of sexual violence (in person and remotely via telephone and/or online). Experience of delivering trauma informed services to women and/or girls affected by trauma is required, alongside experience of assessing and responding to risk in relation to sexual abuse and exploitation. A commitment to working within a gendered analysis of Violence Against Women is essential for this role.

We are recruiting a Team Leader to coordinate, deliver and promote RASAC P&K support services. The post holder will provide therapeutic support, information and advocacy services to survivors of sexual violence and a minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting women and/or young people affected by trauma is essential, alongside experience of service development and promotion.

We are looking for someone who is adaptable, creative, has strong inter-personal skills and brings with them experience in a supervisory / management role to support our staff team and volunteers.

The Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre, Perth & Kinross are looking for a dedicated and skilled Therapeutic Support Worker to join our specialist Support Services team. Providing therapeutic support, information and advocacy services, this role will involve responding to the needs of survivors who face additional barriers to accessing services and the post holder will be expected to have a creative and needs-led approach throughout their practice. This will include supporting women at risk of, involved in, or exiting commercial sexual exploitation. The project seeks to overcome barriers for women affected by CSE, as well as for women affected by other multiple or enduring complex issues such as substance use, repeat offending, vulnerable housing or learning difficulties.

This role will work with a range of external agencies, and the post holder will represent RASAC P&K on the Encompass Network.
