We’re one of Scotland’s fastest growing charities, improving outcomes for children by supporting their Dads and families. We are currently looking for two trustees to join our dynamic voluntary Board team at an exciting time.
Our aim is to improve outcomes for children to ensure the best start in life by providing support to Dads and families. Our hope is through achieving this, there will be a larger shift in society toward accepting the vital role Dads play.
We currently have a vacancy for a Board member to join our Board of Trustees. As a Trustee Board Member, your responsibilities will include:

In addition to the above duties of all Trustees, each Trustee should use any specific knowledge or experience they may have to help the Board reach sound decisions. This will involve scrutinising Board papers, leading discussions, focusing on key issues, and providing advice and guidance requested by the Board on new initiatives or other issues relevant to the area of work in which the Trustee has special expertise.

Our team is expanding, and we are looking for a full time Dads Worker to Support Dads, children and families across North Ayrshire, engaging with them 1:1. Offering informal support, and sign posting on. With the aim of increasing the confidence and resilience of Dads, grandfathers and male carers.
You will work alongside health and social care professionals in the universal early years team. You will work with Dads and families on a 1:1 basis as well in small group settings.
We’re looking for someone who is good at motivating and inspiring people, a great communicator who wants to help us grow to support more Dads and families across Scotland. To coordinate and develop our peer support network (P.S. Dads Rock) for new and expectant Dads across Scotland. To facilitate Dads groups and parenting workshops.
Purpose and Context of Role
The coordinator will develop peer support with the active participation of our volunteers and Dads.
They will recruit, train, match and support our volunteers and build effective partnerships with key operational and strategic bodies and represent and promote the service at external events where required.
