With YOU (formerly Places for People Scotland Care & Support) is a charity providing quality support for people in Scotland. We provide support in the following areas: • Learning disabilities • Mental health • Autism As well as: • Young careleavers • Older people • Temporary Accommodation Our staff are qualified and trained practitioners who help people to make informed choices about their personalised, flexible and quality support service. We're led by a senior management team based in Hays Business Centre in Craigmillar in Edinburgh. We're governed by an active, experienced voluntary board. Members have a range of experience including finance, property development, psychology, older people's strategy, homelessness and health.

Senior Support Worker

We are looking for motivated individuals to deliver support who are both creative and flexible and can make a difference to peoples’ lives.

with YOU are currently recruiting Senior Support Workers for our Learning disability service based in Craigmillar, working shifts to provide a variety of practical and emotional support to people who use our services. You will be responsible for auditing and implementing support plans, risk assessments and reviewing support as well as liaising with external agencies where required. You will have line management responsibility for staff as well as reviewing and auditing staff performance and training.

You will be working with vulnerable adults providing focused support within their own home and the local community. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to make a difference to peoples’ lives and support them to achieve their identified outcomes.

Assistant Accountant

The role of Assistant Accountant is to provide high quality financial services to the organisation with particular focus on supporting work carried out by the Head of Finance and Business Development.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and provide cover for the monthly payroll processing, working alongside the Finance Officer/Payroll Administrator.
  • Ensuring all payroll coding, cost centre and staff types are accurate and up to date.
  • Posting of monthly payroll journals and reconciliations of all payroll control accounts, ensuring any legislative liabilities are paid timely.
  • Gather information from Service Managers to ensure accurate invoicing, ensuring all invoices raised have a corresponding contract and are in accordance with service delivery and staffing.
  • Monthly reconciliation of control accounts, such as creditors and debtors
  • Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, and monthly forecasting.
  • Assist with preparations of year end process and annual accounts
  • Assist with development of all financial system processes and procedures

Essential Knowledge:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft products, with an advanced level of excel.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good analytical skills
