Empathetic, experienced Money Advice Worker required to undertake casework and to deliver a quality money advice service in the Penicuik CAB. Applicants should meet the standards required in the Money Advice Quality Framework. Experience of generalist advice work is an advantage.
Motivated person required to develop and deliver the NHS funded AIM HI Income Maximization Project across Midlothian.
The post holder will be required to provide holistic money and benefits advice throughout Midlothian via Sure Start family centres. The work will include income maximisation, budgeting advice, assistance with debt issues (including housing debt) and help and assistance with checking benefit entitlement, completing benefit applications and challenging benefit decisions.
Good interpersonal skills are essential as the post holder will be responsible for developing innovative ways to engage with hard to reach groups.
21 hours per week or Jobshare considered – if you are interested in working part-time please apply as normal.
Applicants must hold a current driving license and have access to a car on a daily basis.
Enthusiastic, motivated person with thorough working knowledge of the benefits system required as Kinship Care Regional Support Officer based at Penicuik CAB. The post holder will work with the Citizens Advice Bureaux in the defined regional area of Stirling, Clackmannanshire, Falkirk, East and West Lothians, Midlothian, Edinburgh, Fife, the Western Isles and the Scottish Borders. The officer will support bureaux in the provision of advice to Kinship Carers, deliver training and co-ordinate regional activities.
The post holder will work closely with local services and stakeholders, such as kinship care groups to provide support, share information and raise awareness of the service.
