Crew is an award-winning national charity, based in Edinburgh, at the forefront of tackling new and emerging drug trends. Crew seeks to reduce harm from drug use and improve public health with the input of people who access drug services, working with a wide range of local, national and international partners.

Role Purpose:

Provision of weekly one-hour auricular acupuncture sessions, usually twice a month 5-6.30PM, for people taking psychostimulant drugs. You’ll be required to shadow 2 acupuncture shifts before facilitating the acupuncture group yourself. Sessions include welcoming and briefing new attendees, offering 10-minute initial assessments and facilitating relaxing meditation in a group setting.

Crew seeks to reduce harm from drug use and improve public health with the input of people who access drug services, working with a wide range of local, national and international partners.

Facilitating mindfulness meditation sessions, usually twice a month 5-6.30pm, for people taking stimulant and/or other drugs. Sessions include welcoming new attendees, offering 10-minute initial assessments and facilitating a relaxing mindfulness meditation in a group setting. You’ll be required to shadow 1 mindfulness session before facilitating the group yourself. You’ll also be required to set up the room before the session, clear up and replace furniture after the session, write up initial assessments and conduct monitoring and evaluation of the session.

Role Purpose

You’ll provide low-threshold substance use and sexual health information, advice and support in a Drop-in environment, facilitating opportunities for peer education for young people aged 12-25, working with Crew’s volunteer peer educators, as well as enquiries from the general public.
