Volunteer Glasgow is the operating name of the Volunteer Centre - the Centre for Volunteering, Community Action and Employment Initiatives - which was established in 1970, is a company limited by guarantee (166042), is governed by a Board of (experienced and skilled volunteer) Directors, and is registered as a Scottish Charity (SC005462) with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator. In addition to promoting and supporting volunteering, Volunteer Glasgow has established a successful track record in providing community development, befriending/mentoring, training, community care, and advisory services to the general public and to a range of specific client groups across the city.

Volunteer Co-Ordinator

Managed by Volunteer Glasgow but working as part of INCLUDED Project staff team at the Yoker Resource Centre, the post holder will be required to recruit, train and support a pool of volunteers who will help INCLUDED participants to access a wide range of opportunities outside of normal office hours. They will also be responsible for the establishment and facilitation of a Co-production Network of INCLUDED participants and volunteers as well as working alongside Volunteer Glasgow staff and service to encourage the take up of volunteering by INCLUDED participants.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience of recruiting, training and supporting vulnerable groups, and a firm commitment to equal access for all.
