We are looking for an experienced Finance Administrator to support the smooth running of our small training organisation.
Main duties would include:
Payroll Administration:
Processing staff salaries, ensuring that all notified changes in relation to PAYE, National Insurance and Pensions are complied with. Completing returns for the Inland Revenue. Dealing with administration of tax and National Insurance matters, using the relevant online platforms and liaising as necessary with HMRC. We have a small staff team, currently 9 members.
Invoices:
Processing bills and invoices, and monitoring debtors and creditors.
Reconciliation and Annual Accounts:
Reconciling various financial elements on a monthly/quarterly basis. Assisting in the preparation of the annual accounts for auditors.
Experience in payroll is a must. It would also be beneficial to have some experience in using Xero and Microsoft packages.

Training for Care is based in Edinburgh and delivers training throughout the central belt of Scotland.

Role
Our Board of Trustees is seeking new members to assist with overseeing the governance of Training for Care and determining strategic policy and direction. We are particularly interested in hearing from those with Legal or Financial experience however all applications will be considered. Training for Care’s Board of Trustees meet with Training for Care’s management staff every eight to ten weeks (meetings are currently virtual) to review performance, discuss operational matters and agree forward actions.
As a Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) approved assessment centre we have a long record of achieving high grades for our delivery methods across awards in social care and childcare, including Vocational qualifications and Professional Development Awards.
We work with a variety of organisations from education centres to statutory, private and voluntary organisations providing services in social care and childcare. The quality of our assessment processes, and the support we offer to candidates, has been fundamental to our success for over 35 years.
We are currently looking for a qualified Peripatetic Assessor (L&D 9DI) and/or Internal Verifier (L&D 11) to join our social care team.
This role would suit a variety of applicants seeking to earn on a self-employed basis at a capacity that suits them. You may already have a part time role and be looking for an additional opportunity to develop your career; you may have family commitments that mean you have limited time available or be approaching retirement but be keen to continue to work flexible hours.

Experience working in adult social care services and the necessary qualifications to register with the SSSC are essential. We offer competitive rates of pay - £15 to £18 per hour for assessment and £20 per hour for IV.
We are looking for an administrative assistant to support the delivery of our Vocational Qualifications and Funded Modern Apprenticeship Programmes.
The role would include course and funding administration, communication with students and teaching staff, registration with external bodies, and maintenance of student records.
This post requires experience in using Microsoft office packages, plus good communication and organisational skills.
We continuously recruit students for our various programmes throughout the year, so the successful candidate will have a flexible approach and the ability to prioritise. We are a small organisation so the ability to work independently and to self-motivate is essential, as well as being a supportive member of a small admin team.

We are looking for an administrator to oversee and ensure the effective delivery and day to day performance of our Short Course Programme.
We pride ourselves in delivering high quality training with an enthusiastic and highly qualified professional training team. Our Short Courses are mandatory training and CPL courses for the Social Care and Childcare sectors e.g. First Aid, Moving and Handling, Food Hygiene, Epilepsy, Adult Support and Protection etc. We deliver group bookings as well as an open programme.
The role would include liaising with trainers, purchasers and course participants for course booking, information and support. Administrative duties include processing bookings, supplying course materials, maintaining records of courses, preparing information for invoicing and producing/issuing certificates.
Some courses are delivered on-site in our training suite, the short course administrator will prepare the training room and refreshments as required.
This role would be suitable for someone with excellent communication skills, who has experience in a customer-facing role. The successful applicant would also need to have experience using Microsoft Office packages, and excellent organisational skills. Some marketing experience would be preferred but is not essential.
