Service Delivery Manager

We have an exciting opportunity as a Service Delivery Manager in Edinburgh (12-month fixed-term) - if you have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and are a dedicated team player with a youth-led approach this could be perfect for you!

As a member of our Leadership Team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of our employability and pre-employability programmes across Edinburgh, the Lothians & Fife. Collaborating with your team, you will develop and implement a suite of programmes designed to engage young people from the communities who need our support the most. You will lead and inspire your team to deliver effective services, ensuring that every young person engaged progresses along an appropriate pathway of learning, and development. You will demonstrate best practices in services that engage young people, creating a safe and supportive environment that maximizes value for young people and our training and employer partnerships.

This role is perfect for you if you have experience leading services for young people and have a deep passion for making a positive difference. Philanthropy Manager

Our Philanthropy Team is a crucial part of our Fundraising and Marketing Directorate and has long played a key role in income generation at The Trust. We are looking for a Philanthropy Manager to join our brilliant fundraising team in Glasgow. Someone who is dynamic, has an eye for opportunity, is passionate about our cause and has significant experience in building strategic, meaningful, and long-lasting philanthropic relationships in order to solicit multi-year high-value giving.

You will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy in Scotland and in the North of England to create long-lasting relationships with major donors, and Trust and Foundations supporters. Youth Development Lead (Health and Social Care)

The Prince’s Trust Scotland are looking for individuals that share our passion to transform the lives of young people. This permanent post is well suited to anyone with relationship management skills, as you’ll be working closely with our Delivery Partners.

Countless talented young people across the country are unemployed, under-employed or looking for a better career. Meanwhile, across social care and the NHS (one of the largest employers in Europe) there is currently in a staffing crisis with thousands of vacancies across hundreds of roles. What you will do:

This is not an exhaustive list and will vary from day to day.

Recruit, onboard and caseload young people

Delivery of Prince's Trust's Health & Social Care project in Scotland

Supporting young people to develop their confidence and skills, throughout programme delivery and afterwards

Ensuring every young person ‘progressed’ has an action plan with an appropriate pathway of support and keeping detailed records of our engagement with them

Accurately record and track young person’s journey and progression using The Prince’s Trust CRM system, collecting impact measurement evidence for our funders

Working with partners to deliver employment programmes to young people, including leading skills sessions

Manage relationships with our referral and delivery partners, including contracts, payments, detailed delivery plans and quality assessment

Recruitment and management of trusted partners who support and/or deliver our services

Evaluating, evidencing, and reporting on the impact of our services to young people in line with specific funding requirements

Continual improvement of our services to young people

You will not be working directly with young people all of the time. On average, 40% of your time will be spent on delivery and 60% will be involving data, paperwork and processing, so excellent organisational skills are a must.

What we need from you:

It is essential that you have a strong understanding of the challenges young people within the Trust’s target groups face and we need you to provide evidence of this in your supporting statement and CV.

You would do well in this role if you have strong communication and admin skills and can adapt your communication approach depending on the audience – whether that’s a young person, volunteer, delivery partner or colleague.

To support our delivery requirements across the West of Scotland we are particularly interested in receiving applications from individuals who have some of the following qualities:

Experience of the NHS or Health & Social Care sector in any capacity

Are able to engage in challenges with optimism and resilience

Can be adaptive and flexible, ready to embrace change and innovation

Are experienced in providing one-to-one/group support and delivering high quality learning and development sessions through a variety of mediums.

Is a natural and effective communicator, passionate about delivering excellent customer service and making the right decision for young people

Have experience in at least one of the following areas:

To help us on this journey we are looking for a passionate and motivated Youth Development Lead based in the Edinburgh / Lothians area to join our dynamic Casework team. This role will have a specific focus on supporting young people who want to start their own business and supporting them throughout their Prince’s Trust Enterprise journey.

This role will involve managing a caseload of young people aged 16-30 from the point of referral, throughout their journey with the Trust and into self-employment or another outcome.

You will be working directly with young people both face-to-face and online, referral and delivery partners and colleagues from other teams across the Trust. As part of the role, you will have a range of monthly targets and be required to complete set funding paperwork to ensure we can maximise our drawdown from key funding contracts.

We are looking for people who:

Ideally have some previous knowledge and experience working within the enterprise / self-employment / business sectors but this is not mandatory – full training will be provided

Enterprise

Our Enterprise Youth Development Leads help young people aged 18-30 to learn about self-employment and to decide whether starting a business is right for them. We ensure young people have the tools and skills they need to launch their businesses through our Explore Enterprise Course and offer mentoring, workshops, 1;1 support and funding to support new entrepreneurs at every stage of their business start-up journey.

This role is perfect for you if you have skills and experience in self-employment and are passionate about supporting young entrepreneurs to develop their businesses.

Key parts of this role will include:

  • Delivering workshops and training on entrepreneurship
  • Providing 1-to-1 support directly to our service users
  • Supporting the development of business plans and financial forecasts
  • Working closely with volunteers and partner organisations to support our Young People
  • Working with wider colleagues to achieve a positive outcome for service users
  • Accurately completing paperwork and using our internal customer relationship management software to actively onboard and manage our Young People as well as day-to-day general administration

Health and Social Care

Our Health and Social Care Youth Development Leads support young people aged 16-30 throughout their whole Prince's Trust journey by exploring the sector through training sessions, and work in partnership with delivery partners and NHS Boards to support young people reach positive destinations within the industry. This role would be perfect for you if you have a passion for the health and social care industry, strong communication and admin skills and have experience of the NHS or Health and Social Care sector in any capacity,

Key parts of this role will include:

  • Recruit, onboard and manage a caseload of young people
  • Delivery of Prince's Trust's Health & Social Care project in Scotland
  • Supporting young people to develop their confidence and skills, throughout programme delivery and afterwards
  • Working with partners to deliver employment programmes to young people, including leading skills sessions

Explore and Employability

Youth Development Leads manage a caseload of young people into sustainable outcomes through our core self-development, employability and enterprise offers by working 121 with young people directly and working closely with other Youth Development colleagues delivering programmes and group sessions.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a natural and effective communicator, passionate about delivering excellent customer service
  • Has experience in supporting young people 16-30 within the Prince’s Trust target groups
  • Will thrive in a busy and dynamic role and is able to engage in challenges with optimism and resilience
  • Is able to work efficiently and effectively to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Has experience of working on their own initiative to achieve individual and team objectives
  • Has a fine attention to detail and can process paperwork and computerised administration tasks in a timely and accurate manner
  • Has a strong understanding of the challenges young people from within The Trust’s target groups might face

To help us support the young people in our target groups, we are looking for a Delivery Support Coordinator to join our Delivery Support team in Glasgow.

As a Delivery Support Coordinator, you will be providing a warm and welcoming reception for young people, staff and visitors over the phone and in person. You will be indirectly supporting young people by ensuring that the Glasgow Centre operates safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for the management of delivery space, facilities compliance and the control of office equipment and supplies. Having previous administrational experience is beneficial but not essential.

To be successful in this role, you must have a good understanding of the challenges young people within our target groups face, to assist our teams in delivering a first-class experience. You will often be the first person our young people come in to contact with, so it is essential that they feel welcomed in a non-judgemental atmosphere.

The Trust is seeking an exceptional individual to lead the delivery of the Prince’s Trust programmes across Scotland, to fulfil our vision that every young person should have the chance to succeed.

As Country Director for Scotland, you will be responsible for managing a budget in the region of £5.5m and leading a dispersed team comprising colleagues, volunteers and a network of referral and delivery partners, working together to support over 8,000 young people each year to transform their lives by developing the confidence and skills to live, learn and earn.

The Trust has recently published its strategy for 2021-2025, outlining our ambition to give more disadvantaged young people the opportunity to create a better future through employment, education and enterprise. To realise this ambition, you will need to develop and implement plans for growth, engage and motivate your team, have excellent communication skills, build relationships with existing and new partners, including the Scottish Government and have a strong focus on ensuring the Trust is a diverse and inclusive organisation. A genuine and empathetic understanding of the challenges facing local young people is also essential.

Your role is a member of the Delivery Senior Leadership team, working collaboratively with the other Country Directors to ensure consistent high-quality delivery across the United Kingdom, and you’ll be a member of The Trust’s Senior Management Team (SMT), who work closely to achieve the common goal of supporting young people.
