Care Manager (Holiday Care Lodge)

The Holiday Care Lodge has an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced Care Manager to join our team within the Badaguish Centre.

Situated in the foothills of the Cairngorm Mountains near Aviemore, the Badaguish Centre promotes outdoor activity holidays for individuals with disabilities by providing accessible and affordable accommodation, facilities and services. The lodge provides fun, sociable and safe short breaks for people living with learning disabilities and those who have more complex care and support needs.

Our Care Manager is responsible for the smooth day to day running of Badaguish Holiday Care Lodge whilst planning and co-ordinating all operational requirements of the Holiday Care Programme.

They are also responsible for maintenance of all related administrative tasks including performance monitoring and record keeping for compliance with Care Inspectorate, HR, Finance, Health & Safety, and Quality Assurance.

A successful Care Manager will lead their team to strive for the highest quality experience for our guests whilst delivering a high quality supportive, domestic and homely experience in the most exciting outdoor environment in the UK.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:

· Experience, skills and understanding of working with people learning and multiple disabilities to deliver a programme that is both therapeutic and enjoyable.

· Understand the value of working in the outdoor environment to help guests develop to their full potential.

· Use your own love of an active outdoor lifestyle to bring energy, creativity and fun to the fulfilment of sharing it with others.

· Organisational, forward planning and performance management skills.

· SVQ level 4 or the ability to work towards the relevant qualification required for your SSSC registration.

· Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle.

The Holiday Care Lodge has a unique and exciting opportunity for a Care Team Leader to join our team within the Badaguish Centre. This is the perfect role for individuals currently working within the residential care sector looking to take the next step in their career.

The lodge provides fun, sociable and safe short breaks for people living with learning disabilities and those who have more complex care and support needs.

Our Care Team Leader will have a responsibility to lead, supervise and support their team to strive for the highest quality experience for our guests. This will include delivering a high quality supportive, domestic and homely experience and also organising and participating fully in an active and enjoyable outdoor activity holiday programme in the most exciting outdoor environment in the UK.

They will have a responsibility to assist the Care Manager with the smooth day to day running of Badaguish Holiday Care Lodge. To assist with planning and co-ordinating all operational requirements of the Holiday Care Programme. This will include deputising in the Care Manager’s absence.

A successful Care Team Leader will have a responsibility to assist with maintenance of all related administrative tasks including performance monitoring and record keeping for compliance with Care Inspectorate, Health & Safety, and Quality Assurance.

  • Experience of working at a senior carer level or with additional management responsibilities within a residential care setting.

  • Use of your own experience and love of an active outdoor lifestyle to bring energy, creativity and fun to the fulfilment of sharing it with others.
