My name is Danny, I live in the Riddrie area of Glasgow. I am outgoing and active. I enjoy playing sports, going to the gym and fishing. DJing is my passion and i would like to start my own DJ business.

I am recruiting for Personal Development Workers to support me to live a good life. The role will have a focus on supporting me to contribute to my local community, to be healthy and safe, to support me in planning for the future and widening my horizons.

My new team members must be male, positive role-models,mature outlook and good at building and maintaining boundaries.

Qualifications: Appropriate SSSC required qualifications or have a willingness to work towards these.

We are now hiring for the position of Support Advisor for our Wishaw locality at C-Change Scotland.

The Brief: You will be part of a team of front line managers (Support Advisors), you will manage the development workers who are supporting people to lead the lives they choose. You will walk alongside the people we work for to ensure that they receive a high quality service and are supported to achieve their aspirations and be active citizens in their communities. You will be an integral part of developing the C-Change business and strategic outcomes in the Wishaw area.

Your Personality:You are creative, motivated and confident with a ‘can do approach’. You are able to work autonomously and collaboratively in line with C-Change’s aims, ethos and values. You are also approachable and inclusive in your practice.

Your Skills: You are able to manage teams and support them to realise the aspirations of the people they work for. It is essential that you have demonstrated effective communication, IT skills, planning & prioritising, relationship building and multi-disciplinary partnership working skills.

Marketing and Events Co-ordinator (at dates-n-mates)

dates-n-mates is Scotland’s national dating and friendship agency run by and for people with learning disabilities. Established in 2008, the project has hosted hundreds of events, helping people to tackle social isolation by making friends, having meaningful relationships and building stronger connections with their communities. As part of our dates-n-mates Aberdeen team we are looking to recruit for the position of Marketing and Events Co-ordinator.

Responsibilities and Duties

To work as a key part of a project team and volunteers to facilitate opportunities for people with a learning disability to develop and maintain new friendships and relationships to make stronger connections in their community. To effectively implement the marketing and Public Relations outcomes of dates-n-mates Aberdeen.

A key focus of this role is to promote the benefits of dates-n-mates to prospective members, external organisations and other potential stakeholders. Additionally, it is the responsibility of the Marketing and Events Co-ordinator to raise the profile of the project and its services within the wider community both locally and nationally.

This post-holder will be required to work in co-ordination with volunteer strategy, engaging volunteers and supporting their work. Furthermore, the efficient and effective delivery and planning of a regular calendar of social events an essential expectation of the role.
