You will manage a team and be responsible for ensuring applicants for our homes, our tenants and others customers receive excellent customer services. Our operating environment is constantly evolving as we work to challenge poverty and improve health & wellbeing in our multi-cultural communities.

Support Workers – Youth Homelessness

We are a community-based housing association located in the north west of Glasgow. We manage nearly 4,350 homes and provide tenancy support and community development activities to enhance the local area.

Our Youth Homelessness service has operated for 25 years and provided support to around 1000 vulnerable young people aged 16-25. Our vision is to create Excellent Housing in Vibrant Communities and to help people live well by providing support when it’s needed most.

We are looking for enthusiastic, empathic individuals committed to the wellbeing of young people to join our successful team.

Our service offers 24/7 support to 53 young people – 13 in a residential setting and 40 in their own tenancies in the local community using housing first principles. We provide specialist, unique and dedicated support designed to nurture and prepare young people for the next step in their lives and independent living.

Our service provides flexible support that has a strength based approach, and works in a psychologically and trauma informed manner.

We’ve achieved ‘excellent’ ratings from the Care Inspectorate and are looking for exceptional people to join us in the following roles:-

Youth Homelessness Support Worker (nights) – equivalent of 35 hours a week

Based in the residential hub. The post involves nightshift work over a 4 week rota, with the shift being 10pm-8am.

Youth Homelessness Support Worker - equivalent of 35 hours a week

This role involves a variety of shifts including 7.30am-3pm, 9.30am-5pm and 2.30pm-10.30pm.

Sessional Support Workers - Flexible hours by agreement at £9.50 per hour

Staff benefits package includes:-

Our Wellbeing Service for people aged 60+ has a long established history of providing support to older people living independently in their own homes. Our vision is to create Excellent Housing in Vibrant Communities and to help people live well by providing support when it’s needed most.

We are looking for enthusiastic, empathic individuals committed to the wellbeing of people aged 60+ to join our successful team.

Our service offers a unique approach to helping older people remain active members of their local community, promoting independence, building resilience and working with people to achieve their individual goals.

  • We provide Queens Cross Housing Association tenancies for people age 60+ and enhanced housing management to help them maintain their tenancy
  • We deliver ‘interventions’, working with people when their health deteriorates, helping them regain their independence (this work strand is funded to April 2020)
  • We work one to one with people to support independence and use the good conversation approach to build their resilience

We’ve achieved ‘very good’ ratings from the Care Inspectorate and are looking for exceptional people to join us.

Working from one of our operational bases, working Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm and weekends and public holidays 8.30-12pm on a rota basis.

Wellbeing Worker for good Mental Health

Our vision is to create Excellent Housing in Vibrant Communities and to help people live well by providing support when it’s needed most.

We are looking for enthusiastic, empathic individuals committed to the wellbeing of people who have mental health related issues and to promoting good mental health.

Our service provides emotional and practical assistance to 29 individuals who live in their own homes within the local community. You will join a small team who believe in promoting independence, building resilience and working with people to achieve their individual goals.

The service operates 7 days a week 9am to 5pm however, flexibility may be required to meet the needs of service. Job share requests will be considered.

We are registered with the Care Inspectorate as Queens Cross East, Housing Support & Care at Home Service and we achieved ‘excellent” ratings (6s) for the quality of our care and our leadership in our June 2019 inspection.
