Our aims … To help as many young people get on in life, by providing them volunteering based opportunities that: • Increase their employability skills • Increase their experience in areas of existing skills and interests • To help more young people give something back to their communities, providing charities with access to their skills and experiences. • To get more young people volunteering in the longer term • To ensure that employers, charities and other bodies see what we see – great benefit in investing in the young people of Scotland – not just to Scotland and those young people but also to their organisations. • To showcase the talents and fresh perspective a young scot brings to the right role to employers throughout Scotland.

Engagement Manager (Employability)

This role is a great opportunity to join our fantastic team at ProjectScotland to work as part of the engagement team in the delivery of our employability contracts. The work in the area focuses on support for young people, those with a disability and refugees.

As a values led organisation who empowers its staff through flexible working, and values based recruitment this is a great opportunity to join a highly motivated team supporting people right across Scotland to achieve positive outcomes through volunteering.

The role will provide vital support for those taking part in the programme, as well as the charity partners hosting the volunteers. The successful candidate will be values driven, a great communicator and have a track record in achieving outcomes and targets, either in employability services or in comparable services and operations.

Following the award of a large employability contract, this role will provide compliance and administrative support to the team, ensuring we comply with all financial and evidencing / process requirements involved with the project. This role will act as an internal check and guidance function to ensure we meet the stringent requirements for accuracy and detail in evidencing all aspects of the project. The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail, will be a strong organiser and operate well as part of a team in what is a positive, can do and supportive work culture.

This role is a great opportunity to join our fantastic team at ProjectScotland to help support the youth engagement team in the delivery of two new contracts. These contracts will support unemployed young people to reach employment, and to provide young people throughout Europe the opportunity to volunteer throughout Scotland through the European Solidarity Corps programme.
